A vintage two-volume set of "The Letters of Robert Louis Stevenson", selected and edited by Sidney Colvin. The publisher is Metheun and Co., London, England 1900, and this set is the second edtition. Each has hand-cut pages, gilding on the top edge, gilt purple endpapers and cloth bindings with title stickers applied to the spines. Each is tightly bound and includes a tissue-covered plate of Stevenson and an extra spine sticker tipped in to the endpapers. The books measure 6-1/2 x 9" and they have 375 and 384 pages (vol. 1 and 2). This set is in excellent condition with no losses, damage or repairs other than some foxing to the tissue, plate and title pages (not affecting the images) and some slight foxing to the extreme edges of the papers on the outside. Only a few pages have some light spots showing near the extreme edge, and the covers show slight rubbing to the seams and some bruising to the top and bottom of the spines. A decorated 19thC copper lustre child's cann or mug. This vintage mid-19th century 2-1/2" high decorated copper luster mug features a relief beaded rim, lovely metallic copper luster, a blue band with leaf decoration and a white interior with a pink lustre interior rim. It is unmarked and it has a pink lustre brush wipe on the interior, and it is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, losses, damage or repairs other than an overglazed flat spot on the bottom rim and some craze lines on the interior bottom only. the luster is a consistent deep rich copper colour from top to bottom, unlike in our photos which show reflection from the towel. Most stones are a teardrop shape and the pale blue givre stones have a frosty lined appearance with a shimmer similar to moonstones. This mint-in-box collection includes the 6-1/2 x 4-5/8" black plastic box, the padded black leatherette book-style binder/case, the three proof quality frosted coins in a sealed plastic display case, the promotional flyer and the numbered certificate of authenticity. The coin case swings freely like a book page to show both sides, it has a satin like interior and the coins depict Wayne Gretzky, Scotty Morrison and Andy Van Hellemond. An Arts & Crafts patinated bronze ink well from the 1900 to 1910 era. This Edwardian writing or desk accessory features green patination with a fine A&C gold stencil on the front above the pen rest. It stands 3-7/8" tall, 3" wide and 4-1/2" deep. It retains its original blown clear glass inkwell or ink pot and it is stamped BENEDICT ADAM VERO 2213 on the bottom. It is in very good condition with no bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs other than some expected ink stains and surface spotting and minor edge rubs to the stand and a hole on the bottom of the glass ink well where someone had drilled it (this can be epoxied over or repaired by a glassmaker). there is also a small bump on the back with a tight surface crack to the patination. A cool gold plated green glass bead bracelet from the 1950s. This 7" long triple strand green formed glass beads bracelet has rigid textured gold plated rod links suspending the glass beads. This 1950s bracelet has a snapover catch, and the rods are curved on the outside strands and straight in the center. The beads have subtle green swirls and they are suspended by wire loops. Issued by the bank of Canada, it shows the $10 bill through the ages and compares the 1986 and 2001 issues in a limited edition of 50,000. The padded black binder has the encased banknotes in plastic in a double-sided page-style holder for viewing both sides.
