A lovely lady's Ryrie (later Birks) hanging watch in 9k rose gold c1910. This 1-1/8" diameter watch features a single sunk seconds dial, blued hands and black Roman numerals and a large hinged rectangular loop for hanging. The face is marked RYRIE, and the case is stamped with London, England import gold marks with a 109926 serial number. The 15/16" (24 mm.) diameter works are stamped 3326279 RYRIE VERNON 15 JEWELS; Vernon was Ryrie's quality gold watch line and they used Waltham works according to archive catalogues. This watch is suspended from a 10k yellow gold pin featuring the three loop Rebekah lodge symbol. The pin has a safety catch, and this pin and watch measures 2-1/4 x 1-1/4" in total. A vintage c1910 top-hinged photo locket fob pendant in 14k yellow gold with an inset genuine antique European cut 12 point (by gauge) diamond. The back has an inscription stating: "PRESENTED TO T.A. EATON BY MEMBERS OF PASSENGER DEPT G.T.R. MARCH 1910", and it has a 14K gold mark. The famous Timothy Eaton family of Toronto were involved with the Grand Trunk Railroad at this time - it is most likely that T.A. Eaton was Thomas Alden Eaton, son of James Eaton and nephew of Timothy Eaton. He served and died in WWI and is buried in France. This locket has a photo of a military-clad man on the inside, it weighs 12.4 grams, and it is in excellent original condition with no bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs other than some shallow dents to each side.
