This charming vintage set of three handmade gilt sterling silver duck scatter or sweater pins have safety catches and they measure from 1-1/2" across to 1-1/4" x 1-1/8" across. They are stamped HANDMADE STERLING on the backs, no other marks, and the gilding that remains has a rose gold colour, which was very popular in the 1930s -early 1940s. The bodies and wings are layered and slightly repousse, giving the pins a nice lift and depth, and they are rather charming and slightly comical.
