A Loetz Crete Papillon 7" Czech art glass green vase 1890 1900. This period vase has the famous Papillon finish in green (Crete) and this line was introduced in 1898. It has a tapered 3-1/8" across girdle and 2-5/8" base. It is in very good condition with no cracks, wear or repairs however there is a 1/4" rim chip mostly affecting the inside of the rim with minimal impact to the outside - this vase can be ground down to eliminate the chip if you are so inclined. A true rarity of vintage American pressed or pattern glass. This is the 5-1/4" long and 4-5/8" wide wall pocket in the Elephant or Jumbo pattern in amber glass, issued by the King Glass Co. in 1890. Variously described as a match holder, match striker, wall pocket or vase, this item has vivid and crisp detail. It is 2-3/4" deep and is guaranteed to be antique glass. This item is in fair original condition with no chips, losses, damage or repairs other than a large internal crack below the eye and above the tusks. This crack is visible from the front and around the back and it appears to be a dividing line between the light upper glass and the deeper amber hue of the glass in the trunk. It can't be felt from the front but can be felt with a fingernail on the interior - the integrity of the piece is intact. Please note the straw mark just below the eye in the last picture (it's not a crack); this item's book value is $750 + in intact condition. A Gorham sterling silver open sugar bowl dated 1899. This 2-3/4" tall tableware serving piece measures 7" across the handles and it is stamped with the Gorham lion/anchor/G STERLING mark with the Gorham year cipher for 1899. It weighs 209 grams and it is in excellent condition with no bends, corrosion or damage and it has a fancy engraved RLA (or RSA) monogram. An antique 19th century hand painted porcelain cat figurine. This figure is probably Austrian or German and it is of heavy porcelain. It is very well painted and it measures 4-1/4" tall. It is unsigned and quite colourful with pink, black, green, orange, blue and gold. It is in reasonably good condition with no chips, losses, damage or repairs other than a tight hairline crack along the chest and a few small paint flakes on the back. A W.E. Welding Brantford Ontario 4 gallon eared stoneware crock with blue floral decoration 1873-94. This attractive, antique Canadian pottery crock measures 12" tall and 11-1/2" across, it has two ear handles and attractive blue tulips decoration with blue splash over the impressed Welding markings. Welding was in business with W.W. Belding in Brantford (1867-72) and went solo in 1873 after their factory burnt down in 1872. The glaze on this pickle or food storage crock is an attractive deep tan with minor dark kiln shadowing, the floral decoration is only slightly blistered and intact and the interior is intact. It is in very good condition with no damage or repairs other than a base chip to the left of the tulips and a tight, inconspicuous hairline on the backside top rim between the ear handles and a tight, slightly branched surface impact crack beside the decoration which doesn't penetrate to the interior. This 7-3/4" tall tableware serving piece is stamped with the Gorham lion/anchor/G STERLING mark with 1 3/4 PINT and it has the number 14 and the Gorham year cipher for 1899. It weighs 488 grams and it is in very good condition with no dents, bends, corrosion or damage. It has a fancy engraved RLA (or RSA) monogram and the handle is a bit wobbly and it has a couple of replaced handle pinions (in brass) and a bit of cracking to the handle thermal spacers. A Georgian 12-1/8" sterling silver stuffing or dressing spoon circa 1809. This fine antique serving item is fully hallmarked for London, England 1809-10 and it is in the Fiddle pattern. Made by William Eley, William Fearn & William Chawner (registered 1808), one of the most notable families of English spoon makers. Examples with a largish bowl like this are great serving spoons for many occasions. This spoon weighs 142 grams and it has a family crest with a unicorn and the phrase "ORA ET LABORA" ("Pray and Work", the motto of St. Benedict).
