A 7-1/2" German or Austrian porcelain hand painted figurine of a bugler. This mid to late 19th century figure features fine hand painting with gold, orange, blue, tan and realistic flesh colours; it is in a style similar to Heubach figures, but many European factories of this period were producing such figures, and it has a shiny rather than matte glaze. It is unsigned except for a painted XX, and it is in very good original condition with no chips, crazing, losses, damage or repairs other than a tight crack on the base at the back and some gilt wear. There are original glazed firing cracks at the elbows, right front leg and hat at the thigh, but these are original to the manufacture of the piece, not later damage. An attractive 19thC American (or Canadian) pattern or pressed glass stoppered decanter with what appears to be an double leaf motif (one over the other) not dissimilar to a maple leaf. This 9-1/2" tall (with stopper) blown-mould decanter retains its original stopper; the detail and relief are sharp and well defined, and this unusual piece, whose maker and pattern unknown to us, is in excellent original condition with no cracks, losses, damage or repairs other than some chips to the bottom of the stopper (see image). We would be happy to add the name of the pattern if any knowledgeable glass person would care to drop us an email. Although we aren't sure of the pattern name, we are sure this is antique pattern glass - it is guaranteed to be vintage glass and not a reproduction. An antique Unger Bros sterling silver stamp safe or case circa 1890. This scarce late Victorian era 1-7/8" x 1-3/8" American sterling silver stamp safe has a lovely floral repouse design. This pocket stamp carrier is similar to a match safe in appearance, but smaller and without the striker edge. It has two circular cutouts on the upper edge for grasping the stamps. It is stamped STERLING 925 FINE with the Unger Brothers maker's mark (they were in business 1872-1914), and it weighs 11.2 grams. This item is in excellent condition with no bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs other than a few shallow and small barely noticeable dents.
