The sterling silver dish is fully hallmarked for Birmingham England 1973. The maker's mark is for J Collyer LtD., and there is an additional mark of two Cs on each side of an anchor. It weighs 63.6 grams in total, and it is in excellent condition with no dents, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs. An English sterling silver coffee spoons set in the original fitted case or box dated 1927. This fine set includes six 4-3/8" coffee spoons in a velvet and silk lined fitted 6-5/8 x 5-3/4" box with gold stamping and brass fittings. The spoons are hallmarked for Birmingham, England 1927 and they have the maker's mark for Arthur Price & Co. (reg. 1926). Each spoon weighs 12.1 grams and the spoons appear unused however the box shows a bit of edge wear and rubbing which can be touched up with polish if desired. This antique pair of 2-1/2" diameter salt stands or dips are 1-1/2" high, and they have three hoof design feet. These salt dips have a maker's mark for George Wickes (later to become Garrard) and they have an original RSH monogram on the bottoms. They weigh 92.9 grams and they are in very good condition with no bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs other than a couple of shallow push-in dents to two feet, a couple of small dents to one salt and the long ago loss of the original glass liners. A pair of English Georgian period sterling silver footed salt cellars or dishes with clear glass liners, fully hallmarked for London, England 1771-2. This antique pair of 2-1/2" diameter salt stands or dips are 1-1/2" high, and they have three hoof design feet. The liners are clear blown glass with a polished pontil, and these salt dips have a maker's mark for Nathaniel Appleton and Anne Smith (London, est. 1771). They weigh 67.6 grams without the liners, and they are in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, dents, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs other than old repairs to two legs on one salt (well finished on the exterior and barely visible - see pictures). A Georgian sterling silver large footed master salt dish dated 1817. This simply splendid high quality English Georgian silver open salt dish is fully hallmarked for London 1817. This 3-5/8" diameter and 1-7/8" high bowl has fine high relief and rather unusual rim decoration of a lion head alternating with a shell, surrounded by flowers, with ornate floral feet. It retains the original gilding on the bowl as well. It is stamped with the maker's mark for William Elliot or William Eaton of London. It weighs an impressive 162.6 grams. It has a small lion rampant family crest engraving on one shoulder (not shown). One of the largest and most unusual Georgian silver open salts we have seen. A Gorham Art Nouveau sterling silver swing-handle basket circa 1900. This lovely American basket measures 6-3/8" x 4-7/8" across the basket and it stands 7-1/2" to the top of the handle. It has a sinuous Art Nouveau floral design and it is stamped STERLING GORHAM MFG CO 1984/6 on the bottom. We haven't identified this attractive pattern, and this knife is stamped H&S STERLING H.T. COOK & CO (the retailer). A Howard Sterling Co. 4 piece brush and mirror set from the 1890s. This high relief, decorative personal grooming set consists of the 10 x 5" hand mirror with beveled glass, the 9-1/4 x 3" hair brush, the 5-5/8 x 1-3/4" small clothes or shoulder brush and the 7 x 2-1/2" large clothes brush. This vanity or dresser set matches, it has the Howard marks, STERLING, 925/1000 and a patent date of 1892 (PAT. '92.). Not all pieces have all of the marks but they certainly match and each piece has a fancy script AGA (or AJA) monogram. This fine example is likely Kashmiri in origin. It features an unmonogrammed cartouche and highly detailed engraving and punchwork floreate decoration.
