A Revernay French art studio pottery vase probably from the 1920s. Made by Atelier Revernay of France (known 1896-1930s), this attractive 8 1/4" tall vase has molded drip highlights and a mottled blue and brown glaze. The blue has deep greenish under-tones. It is hand incised 23 and REVERNAY on the bottom of the vase and it has a MADE IN FRANCE over-glaze mark also. It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, crazing, damage or repairs however it does have a few burst glaze bubbles around the top edge and one lower down,something that occasionally happened with expanding oxygen reacting with the heat inthe kiln. A Royal Doulton Pixies D3690 series ware baby or child's bowl circa 1920s. This seldom seen 7-1/2" across ceramic seriesware design shows three green and yellow garbed pixies holding Chinese lanterns. It has the black Royal Doulton England mark with the D 3690 hand painted number. It is in fair condition with no cracks, losses, damage or repairs other than a 5/8" chip to the upper rim and some allover crazing. it was introduced in 1913 and was discontinued by 1929 or 1930. An Art Deco Lightolier luster Czech glass shade ceiling lamp from the 1920s. This scarce beauty has a paneled Czechoslovakian pale yellow lustre glass shade with floral screened designs in blue, yellow and orange. The shade is stamped LIGHTOLIER and it measures 8-1/8" across the open bottom and 9-1/4" in total across. The top opening is 6-3/4" and this lamp retains its original cream-painted metal mount with three metal spokes with finger screws. The socket assembly is gilded and this lamp has the original chain, mounting nut and central threaded core; it has been recently rewired and it works and shows beautifully. Lightolier was the brand name for lamps made by Bernhard Blitzer Gas and Appliance Co. of Brooklyn, New York who started out in the 1800s before changing to Lightolier early in the century. A Fa Dahlia Dutch 835 solid silver pastry pie lifter or cake server dated 1920. This ornate European silver 8-1/2" dessert server features a high relief village scene, flowers and a mythological mask on the pierced work blade and the stem is fancy as well. This fine dining or tea table serving piece is topped with a finely detailed sailing ship. An Art Deco period silver plated 29" long flapper belt with an Egyptian motif circa 1920s. This vintage waist belt has five 1-1/8" chain-linked discs are set in a double chain belt. Strangely the front of the belt hook and eye buckle section on this elegant fashion accessory features a small fleur-de-lys. Finding the tomb of King Tutankhamen in the early 1920s started a fashion for anything in ancient Egyptian style. A pair of superb Czech Deco cabinet plates from the 1920s. This wonderful and decorative pair of Czechoslovakian porcelain 9-1/2" cabinet plates c1920s has an orange and yellow multicolour angular border outside a lush cobalt blue inner rim with gold decoration. The portrait inner has gold decoration around the perimeter and highly detailed and colourful transfer portraits of jewel bedecked young ladies. Each bears the D&F CZECHOSLOVAKIA mark of EPIAG PROESCHOLD & CO. and one plate has a 10661Y design number. An Art Deco cube shape sterling silver mustard pot and matching salt cellar, both with cobalt glass liners. They are both hallmarked for Birmingham, England 1924, and they have the maker's mark for A.& J. Zimmerman Limited (1902-). The mustard pot stands 2-1/8" high to the top of the finial and the body of each piece is 1-1/2" across. A Dutch silver figural sugar sifter spoon from the 1920s. This 5-1/2" nicely detailed table serving spoon features a woman carrying two pails as the finial and the bowl is nicely pierced. It has an obscured maker's mark and a difficult to see sword mark on the join of the handle and bowl and it could date anywhere from the 1900s to the 1950s. An English sterling silver coffee spoons set in the original fitted case or box dated 1927. This fine set includes six 4-3/8" coffee spoons in a velvet and silk lined fitted 6-5/8 x 5-3/4" box with gold stamping and brass fittings. The spoons are hallmarked for Birmingham, England 1927 and they have the maker's mark for Arthur Price & Co. (reg. 1926). Each spoon weighs 12.1 grams and the spoons appear unused however the box shows a bit of edge wear and rubbing which can be touched up with polish if desired. A German porcelain chicken figural schnapps or liquor decanter with glasses or cups and tray from the 1920s. This set is in orange, green and yellow luster and the cork-lined stopper shaped like feathers lifts off to reveal a filling hole. It is fully hand painted, the chicken is 8-1/2" long, the two-handled tray is 9-5/8" long and the schnapps shot glasses stand 1-5/8" high and fit on indented circles on the tray. The chicken has an impressed 7791 and a few other stamped numbers, some glasses have impressed numbers and a few are incised GERMANY. A Heisey Octagon 1229 black glass footed fruit bowl with coralene butterflies from the 1920s. This elegant glass footed bowl features lush gold trim and hand painted gold decoration along with fine blue, pink and white coralene butterflies and lily of the valley hand painted decoration. This fruit bowl or table centerpiece bowl measures 11 x 9" (including the handles) and it is an unmarked Heisey Octagon 1229 blank. We haven't seen another example of this decoration or of this black colour and it is possible that it was a special order or line made exclusively for a major retailer at the time (we have found no other examples of the blank in black glass). This rarity is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, damage or repairs other than a bit of minor wear on the heavily gold painted handles and a small drip inside the bowl from a liquid that left a 1/4" spot of fogging on the surface of the glass. An authentic 1920s slag glass scenic chandelier ceiling lamp. This hexagonal 16" across and 12" deep beauty features caramel swirl slag glass panels, an upper gallery of blue, purple and caramel slag panels and a lower skirt of blue, purple and deep yellow panels resembling cloudy sky under cutout scenic gold patinated and lacquered brass framework structure of a house with trees. It is unsigned, it has the original gilded brass canopy and it has been resocketed and rewired. We've shown it lit with a 25 watt candle bulb but a higher wattage will look quite impressive. An English hand painted Gaudy Welsh tea set by Allerton's, consisting of the 6" high teapot (including finial), the 5" tall large covered sugar bowl, the 4-3/4" tall milk or cream jug, four 2-1/2" tall cups and four 5-7/8" fitted saucers. Including the lids there are 13 pieces and each is handpainted with cobalt, orange, green and copper lustre. the shape and decoration are undoubtedly those of Allertons however the saucers are marked with what appear to be impressed date stamps (from 1928-29). The sugar and teapot have a 30 mark - it was illegal to sell unmarked china after 1891 so this set would appear to predate that year due to the lack of markings. Or not. This set is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, losses, damage or repairs except crazing to the creamer, sugar, one saucer and one cup. A Jazz Age Art Deco standing flatware box or chest from the 1930s. This unusual beauty has a silver and red paper Deco design over wood construction and it has a fitted interior. It measures 14-1/2" wide, 5" deep and it stands 11-3/4" tall when resting on its base. It has a silver plated clasp on the hinged lid which opens to reveal the plush-lined fitted interior which has a WM. A. ROGERS silk banner. Very few of these boxes were meant to stand upright, and this one looks great in your deco dining room. An Algonquin lidded sewing or yarn basket circa 1930s. This lovely Native American 10" tall and 6-1/2" across utility sewing basket has large hoop handles and the lid has a coiled wood yarn guide opening on the lid. It retains traces of the original natural dyes on the exterior while the interior of the body and lid show the bright red, orange and green of the original colours. This nice decor item is in very good condition with no major damage or repairs other than the mild dye fading and a small area of splits with a small loss to the narrow banding beside one of the handle mounts.
