A funky, vintage c1930s necklace consisting of chain-link blue-stained clear celluloid links with suspended dyed blue wooden balls. The celluloid is a pale yellow with blue staining, the royal blue wood balls are suspended from brass hooks and the clasp is a gold-plated brass. This unsigned necklace tests as high grade silver (.800 grade silver or higher, mark obscured), it weighs 24.1 grams, it has 1/4" loop-linked segments and a slightly more recent silver plated spring-ring catch, the triangular drops have beaded flower-like designs and twisted-wire dangly fringe; it is at least 65 years old and may be older. An 18k yellow gold wedding ring circa 1950s. This vintage size 8 wedding band has a rounded upper shape and is 18K solid gold. This classic design ring weighs approximately 4.6 grams and it is 1/8" (or 3.4mm) wide and 1/16" (1.74mm) thick. It is marked HARWOOD and 18K. Harwood was one of the jewellery designs by W & H Jewelry Company,Inc. (Providence, Rhode Island, known 1940s-1965). This vintage size 5-3/4 or 5.75 ring is in a filigree or basket weave design, and the diamonds are genuine, and are antique round brilliant cut measuring a total of approximately 22-23 points (approximate by gauge). This ring measures 5/8" x 5/16" across the white gold top, and it weighs 2.3 grams. A true and vintage example of period Industrial Art Deco design. This is a 16-1/2" long chrome plated .830 silver necklace featuring a carnelian glass facetted and grooved stone in the central 5/8" wide drop. It has a springring catch and is probably German or Austrian. The necklace has the famous angles, textures and repetitive elements found in true Deco design of the era and this is a fine example of the quintessential elements then in use. It weighs 7.3 grams, it is stamped 830 with an unidentified maker's mark on the jump ring, and it is in excellent condition with no cracks, dents, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs other than a very tiny flake on the edge of the stone (barely noticeable). A Chinese articulated silver gilt fish pin circa 1930s. This fantastically detailed and superbly constructed 2-1/2 x 3/4" fish pin is lushly gilded and it is fully articulated and it has natural coral eyes. It has a safety clasp and the mouth is hinged and opens (for what purpose we don't know). A Birks 14K gold charm bracelet with 7 different 14k or 18K figural charms circa 1930s and possibly later. The bracelet itself is 7-1/2" long and the loops are 1/4" at widest. The charms are:
- an 18k gold ladies figure skate with a white painted enamel except for the skate inner flap, which is red. About 1/5 of the enamel is worn, otherwise quite intact. 3/4" x 5/8".
- a moveable 18k Italian Commedia dell'Arte sad clown figure. He is not always shown with the pointed cap, and the face is a bird mask. Modern versions of this figure rarely show that cap, now it is usually a rounded one. His arms and legs move freely. The large round raised dots are meant to represent his oversized pompoms. 1-3/8" tall.
- a 14k Spanish bullfighter/toreador with cape and bull. 7/8" tall.
- an 18k Venetian gondola boat with gondolier figure. 1-1/8" length.
an 18k donkey or pack animal with harness and saddle. 3/4" x 1/2" tall
- a 14k horn - it is either an older bugle horn or a traditional hunting horn. 3/4" x 1/2". (585 mark).
- an 18k bucket with handle containing a champagne bottle (European hallmarks, possibly French). 3/4" tall.
The bracelet is stamped BIRKS and 14Kt on one side. The charms are all stamped on the charms or on the attached loops. The charm measurements do not include the bale loops as part of the height measurement. The bale loops are all soldered except for the figure skate. The bracelet weight is 21.1 grams. It is in very good vintage condition with no cracks, losses, damage or repairs other than a loss of painted enamel white to the skate and some off rounding to the ice bucket, making it slightly out of shape shape. A 14K white gold filigree Art Deco pearl ring from the 1920s 1930s. This size 5 ring has excellent Art Deco filigree openwork and it features a 7 mm. cultured pearl with a creamy light yellow colour. It weighs 2.0 grams, it is stamped 14K with an S in a shield maker's mark and it is in very good condition with no dents, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs however the pearl has a couple of crack lines and a tight crack (and it can easily be replaced). An outstanding Art Deco sterling silver enamel and marcasites pendant necklace circa 1930. The pendant itslf measures 2" x 1" (including enamelled bale loop). It features colorful matte enamel in of geometric flowers in lilac, yellow, orange, lime green, blue and black with various sizes of marquisites. Please note that the colors may appear several shades brighter in our pictures than they are in real life, and the blue is a light royal blue, not turquoise. It is stamped EN in a kidney-shaped cartouche and STERLING on the back - we are still researching the maker. it weighs 7.5 grams (pendant only). We were unable to find any corresponding information about this mark, at first glance it looks very much like a piece produced by the Theodor Farhner firm, who were well known for such fine matte enamel finishes and the extensive use of marquisites. It is shown with a very recent sterling silver chain which is not included. This item is in good condition with no cracks, dents, bends, corrosion or repairs other than a visible loss to the red-orange enamel and a couple of very short surface abrasions to the blue (just visible with a loupe).
