A beautiful late Edwardian period vintage rhodium plated sautoir with facetted amethyst crystals c1915-20. The central drop is 3/4" wide and 3" long, and the loop chain is 15-1/4" (including the replacement sterling silver springring catch). This beauty is unsigned, and the bezel-set stones are in excellent condition (one has an internal air bubble). An Art Deco period amber crystal sautoir necklace c1920s. This 16-1/4" beauty features hollow amber crystal tube links and faceted crystal beads with gilt brass spacers and loops; the crystal drop measures 2-3/4" long with a large 5/8" wide faceted golden amber crystal bead with brass fittings. It is signed Czechoslovakia on the jump ring and it has a springring catch, and it is in very good original condition with no chips, bends, corrosion, damage or repairs other than a very tiny chip to the end of the large crystal, a very tiny chip to the end of one hollow tube, some minor losses to the gold plating, and some straw marks on the large crystal (all flaws minor). A (probably) Czechoslovakian 20" glass bead necklace c1910-20. This unusual necklace features faceted crystal round beads (5/16" and 5/8"), multicolour striped crystal 3/4" rods, black glass spacers and black round beads (7/16" and 3/4"). Also included are black double-cone beads with white applied edges and hand-blown green glass roses. All are joined with string and it has a springring catch; it is in excellent original condition with no cracks, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs other than some edge chips to one multicolour bead, a slight corner chip to another and two green roses with losses. A scarce World War I era 60" patinated metal and purple cut glass fan or watch chain circa 1915. Unsigned but possibly English, it was common for jewelry at this time to be blackened or patinated so as to avoid flashing and glinting, which could have been seen by the enemy fliers at night. World War I planes were smaller and flew lower, so moonlight reflecting on jewelry allowed people to be seen. The patination made it possible to wear jewelry that was not visible at night, so this style of jewelry became popular until 1918. This watchchain necklace has a large spring-ring catch and swivel, and the chain has oblong loops.
