A 1950s vintage, high quality Christian Dior necklace and matching earrings signed and dated Christian Dior 1958 and 1959. This set includes the 14-3/4" triple strand choker necklace and the 1-5/8" x 1-1/8" clip-on rhinestone & crystal matching earrings. Each section of the necklace has graduated round facetted crystal beads in smoky topaz and cinnamon brown, with green, brown, black, white and gold speckled glass beads and taupe marble celluloid beads. The necklace has claw-set cinnamon brown and light topaz rhinestone clusters linking the strands in an openwork effect, and the earrings are the same configuration and colour of rhinestones, and the earrings have five cinnamon crystal hanging drops. The necklace has a spring-ring catch with the 1958 CHRISTIAN DIOR metal tag; the earrings have the CHR DIOR 1959 planchette with GERMANY on the backs and a conjoined HR mark in a circle on the back of the clip, and both the necklace and earrings have silver or white metal mounts. A gold plated saphiret tassels necklace from the 1930s. This superb and vintage (unsigned) gold plated brass necklace has large dramatic tassels with saphiret (or sapphiret) glass stones. This 15-1/2" gold plated brass necklace has a spring-ring clasp and it has five graduated chain and bell tassels suspended from it. The largest tassel measures 3-1/2" long and 1" across the bell; each individual tassel chain ends in a sapphiret glass stone. The farthest left and right tassels have 9 suspended chains and stones, the 2nd and 4th tassel have 11 chains and suspended stones, and the center tassel has 18 chains and suspended stones. There is also a sapphiret at the top of each tassel canopy. This item is in excellent original condition with no chips, cracks, dents, bends, losses, damage or repairs other than a bit of gold wear at the clasp and some minor corrosion on some of the chain. Made in Germany by Jakob Bengel, this high-style beauty has a 19" split rod-link chain with a springring catch with tortoiseshell celluloid spacers. A Victorian gold filled photo locket on a fancy rolled gold plate chain necklace from the 1870s 1880s. This necklace is unusual in that it is gold filled and not the typical sterling silver and it features yellow gold plate and a strip of fancy bordered rose gold plate setting off the design. It has a subtle matte finish and the rose gold is glossy and it opens up to show two (very faded) baby photos which both have annotations with names and the date 1900 as well as the paper lining, original glass windows and both bezels. The locket measures 2-1/4 x 1" (including bale) and it comes on a fancy 19" long and 5/16" wide rolled gold plated chain which has a springring clasp and a safety chain. A German Industrial Art Deco celluloid or Bakelite chrome necklace from the 1920s. This evocative beauty features chromed links with layered or stepped segments in the German Industrial Deco style. It also has angular orange celluloid links and it is marked GERMANY on the jump ring. It measures 17" long, the middle drop is 7/8" deep and it has a springring clasp. It is in the style of, and closely resembles the work of, Jakob Bengel and we feel confident it is one of his creations (another Bengel piece was purchased from the same consignor). A wonderful looking vintage late Victorian 1-3/8 x 1" rolled gold plated oval photo locket on a 19" book-link rolled gold plated chain. The 5/16" wide chain has different engraved designs on each side, and the locket has fine hand tooling on the reverse side. It also has an applied mount with a central pearl surrounded by six natural garnets. An Art Deco coral celluloid & brass flapper necklace from the 1920s. This original genuine 30-1/2" necklace features a further 4-1/4" central drop with a large 2" x 7/8" celluloid drop. The coral coloured tube beads are linked by brass chains and each celluloid link has brass caps. An unusual matching pair of early 19th century carved shell cameo pierced earrings c1820-40. This 7/8" x 3/4" pair is mounted in gilt brass, and they depict two different and facing male Greek mythological or classical figures. One is a close likeness to the statue of Pericles of Athens, not sure who the other figure represents. An Art Deco bakelite and celluloid snake upper arm bracelet circa 1920s. This genuine period survivor measures 3" x 2-7/8" across the interior and the snake's heads are 5/16" across and both have cobalt blue glass rhinestone eyes. The body is black celluloid with an applied clear yellow layer over a bed of embedded sparkly metallic confetti. This Egyptian style figural bracelet is in mostly excellent condition with no chips, cracks, losses, damage or repairs other than some groove striations/lines of the yellow section from the black and the usual fine patina of scratches from use, There are a couple of superficial stress cracks in the yellow section as well. This attractive oval 1-5/8 x 3/4" (including bale) locket retains the two photo retaining bezels and it has two instant relatives included. The back is undecorated and the front has a lovely X-style design with graduated seed pearls. It has a satin finish and it comes with a slightly later J.Co. 1906 15 YRS gold filled chain with a swivel. "15 YRS." refers to the guarantee on the chain's gold plating to last for 15 years under normal use (similar to that used on watch cases). A Victorian jet bracelet with carving circa 1870-80. This genuine (tested) jet carved bracelet is in the Aesthetic style. It has elastic cord threading (re-strung)and it has a staggered orientation of the band's panels (possibly strung differently originally). The 1" across top panel and two flanking panels both have decorative carving, the rest are plain polished. This item is in fair vintage condition with the following issues: chipping to the thread mounting holes on the back of the center panel, some small edge chips to the bottom corners of the side panels, some tiny edge flakes and chips on the front edges of the side panels and one one other panel and a cracked side panel (the crack is tight and is held together by the elastic, and it can be glued if you wish).
