A 1950s vintage, high quality Christian Dior necklace and matching earrings signed and dated Christian Dior 1958 and 1959. This set includes the 14-3/4" triple strand choker necklace and the 1-5/8" x 1-1/8" clip-on rhinestone & crystal matching earrings. Each section of the necklace has graduated round facetted crystal beads in smoky topaz and cinnamon brown, with green, brown, black, white and gold speckled glass beads and taupe marble celluloid beads. The necklace has claw-set cinnamon brown and light topaz rhinestone clusters linking the strands in an openwork effect, and the earrings are the same configuration and colour of rhinestones, and the earrings have five cinnamon crystal hanging drops. The necklace has a spring-ring catch with the 1958 CHRISTIAN DIOR metal tag; the earrings have the CHR DIOR 1959 planchette with GERMANY on the backs and a conjoined HR mark in a circle on the back of the clip, and both the necklace and earrings have silver or white metal mounts. A gold plated saphiret tassels necklace from the 1930s. This superb and vintage (unsigned) gold plated brass necklace has large dramatic tassels with saphiret (or sapphiret) glass stones. This 15-1/2" gold plated brass necklace has a spring-ring clasp and it has five graduated chain and bell tassels suspended from it. The largest tassel measures 3-1/2" long and 1" across the bell; each individual tassel chain ends in a sapphiret glass stone. The farthest left and right tassels have 9 suspended chains and stones, the 2nd and 4th tassel have 11 chains and suspended stones, and the center tassel has 18 chains and suspended stones. There is also a sapphiret at the top of each tassel canopy. A Victorian gold filled photo locket on a fancy rolled gold plate chain necklace from the 1870s 1880s. This necklace is unusual in that it is gold filled and not the typical sterling silver and it features yellow gold plate and a strip of fancy bordered rose gold plate setting off the design. It has a subtle matte finish and the rose gold is glossy and it opens up to show two (very faded) baby photos which both have annotations with names and the date 1900 as well as the paper lining, original glass windows and both bezels. The locket measures 2-1/4 x 1" (including bale) and it comes on a fancy 19" long and 5/16" wide rolled gold plated chain which has a springring clasp and a safety chain. A German Industrial Art Deco celluloid or Bakelite chrome necklace from the 1920s. This evocative beauty features chromed links with layered or stepped segments in the German Industrial Deco style. It also has angular orange celluloid links and it is marked GERMANY on the jump ring. It measures 17" long, the middle drop is 7/8" deep and it has a springring clasp. An unusual matching pair of early 19th century carved shell cameo pierced earrings c1820-40. This 7/8" x 3/4" pair is mounted in gilt brass, and they depict two different and facing male Greek mythological or classical figures. One is a close likeness to the statue of Pericles of Athens, not sure who the other figure represents. An Art Deco bakelite and celluloid snake upper arm bracelet circa 1920s. This genuine period survivor measures 3" x 2-7/8" across the interior and the snake's heads are 5/16" across and both have cobalt blue glass rhinestone eyes. The body is black celluloid with an applied clear yellow layer over a bed of embedded sparkly metallic confetti. A Regency period rolled gold plate mourning locket with enamel c1835. This 1-5/16" locket features an engine turned design on each side, a watch-style bale for hanging from a chain, pin or chatelaine, and it has a removable central compartment for hair or a memento. The front is hinged and swings out to reveal the contents, which are under bevelled glass (a curl of brown hair and woven black fabric). A scarce World War I era 60" patinated metal and purple cut glass fan or watch chain circa 1915. Unsigned but possibly English, it was common for jewelry at this time to be blackened or patinated so as to avoid flashing and glinting, which could have been seen by the enemy fliers at night. World War I planes were smaller and flew lower, so moonlight reflecting on jewelry allowed people to be seen. The patination made it possible to wear jewelry that was not visible at night, so this style of jewelry became popular until 1918. A truly unusual late Victorian rolled gold plate swing-open photo or hair locket brooch c1900. This 1-3/8" diameter pin features a twist border and a bevelled glass window; it has a c-clasp and the back is hinged, opening to reveal a bezel holding the glass. It currently holds a photo but could easily hold hair or other mementos. The back has a primitive snap, and it is stamped PAT. MCH. 13, 1900J.M.F.&Co.; this item is in excellent original condition with no chips, cracks, dents, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs. A hand carved yellow Bakelite bangle 1930s.
