A 12k rose gold shell cameo brooch pendant circa 1870-80. This 1-1/2 x 1-1/4" pin pendant features a maiden carved out of a yellowish-grey shell; it is bezel-mounted in the gold setting (unmarked but tested (both 12k and 15k gold were used as part of the United Kingdom gold standard until 1932). The setting has a gate-latch clasp and a fully swivelling folding loop for wear as a pendant. A 15k rubies seed pearls shamrocks memento pin brooch from the 1875 era with green, yellow and rose gold. This splendid mid-Victorian 1-3/8" pin has an appealing hand etched floral design with genuine rubies and seed pearls as leaves and flowers. It also features a border with raised flowers alternating with raised and textured shamrocks which have leaves which are split with one side green gold and the other side of each leaf rose gold. On the back it has a compartment with a beveled glass window and retaining bezel which would have probably held a lock or braid of hair but now holds a trimmed tintype portrait of a man. It has a loop for wear as a pendant, it has the original c-clasp and it weighs 11.0 grams (intact). It is typically unmarked and it tests as 15k gold. The hair compartment is quite deep and it would easily hold a gold coin or other memento or even another portrait. A wonderful survivor and an example of the fine quality Victorian jewellers were able to accomplish. It is in excellent condition with no dents, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs other than some minor damage to the cut tintype portrait. A Victorian period 1 x 1" (not including loop) 14k yellow gold man's watch fob with a seal-style monogram insert. This fob has a nice embossed design and a fancy suspension ring; it has a WRA inset initial plaque. It weighs 3 grams. A Victorian ornate silver and gold plated watch chain circa 1870s. This antique ornate 13-5/8" watchchain is 7/16" wide and it consists of six nickel plated base metal oblong links with fine engraving. Each link is attached by thick loops. Every alternating link has gold plated engraved inserts held with three thin metal bands. It has a swivel and it is unsigned and unmarked. This handsome gentleman's pocket watch accessory is in good condition with no dents, bends, corrosion, damage or repairs other than the loss of the the loops on one link and loss of some of the plating. A Victorian 18K gentleman's chrysoprase signet seal ring, fully hallmarked for London, England 1860 1861. This antique size 5-1/2 or 5.5yellow gold ring has an inset green stone which measures 1/2" x 3/8" . The initials are carved en intaglio and are either PG or GP, and this Victorian ring has a CG&S maker's mark. This (unmarked but tested and guaranteed) 15K yellow gold brooch consists of a raised fancy scrollwork front with black enamel, a circle of high quality and lustre natural pearls surrounding a central crystal enclosed compartment with a swirl of medium-brown hair, and a polished mother of pearl backing under the nicely arranged lock of hair. It measures 2-1/2" x 2", it closes with a c-clasp with its original extended pin, and it has a loop for hanging as a pendant. The unusual mother of pearl backing has wonderful pink and green fire, and this pin weighs a substantial 37.4 grams. A later Georgian period 15k yellow gold remembrance or mourning ring with genuine pearls circa 1820 - 1830. This beautiful antique size 6 ring is typically unmarked and it tests as 15k, and it most likely of United Kingdom origin. It has a bevelled glass window for hair (no hair present) and the shoulders are thickly sculpted with a multi-floral pattern sometimes seen on jewellery or decor of this period. A Regency period rolled gold plate mourning locket with enamel c1835. This 1-5/16" locket features an engine turned design on each side, a watch-style bale for hanging from a chain, pin or chatelaine, and it has a removable central compartment for hair or a memento. The front is hinged and swings out to reveal the contents, which are under bevelled glass (a curl of brown hair and woven black fabric). It has a hand-engraved dedication saying: "IN MEMORY OF Margaret Maclachlin Jane Magregor Died 1839. Dugalt Maclachlin Died 21st April 1849." This pendant has blue enamelling, and it is in very good original condition with no dents, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs other than some shallow denting to the panels, some tiny enamel losses and the smashing of the glass insert. An early Empire 15k superbly carved cameo pin circa 1820. This hand carved shell portrait cameo measures 2 x 1-3/4" and it features lovely tooling with a pierced gallery, and a twist border with applied textured flowers and leaves. The cameo itself is one of the most attractively carved we have seen- simply stunning in detail and she is wearing an Empire headdress. This brooch has the original c-clasp and a loop for wear as a pendant. A Georgian 14k glass emerald and diamonds ring circa 1780-1800. This antique yellow gold (unmarked but tested and guaranteed) ring features a 3/8" across top which has claw set early silver coloured genuine rose cut diamonds surrounding an emerald coloured glass stone. Emeralds then were a scarce and difficult stone to acquire, so the use of a cut glass "gem" with diamonds was not unusual. This ring weighs 2.5 grams and it is in excellent original condition with no cracks, dents, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs other than chips under two claws of the glass emerald stone. A rare early Wedgwood tri-colour miniature jasper cameo pin circa 1790 1800. This English Georgian period 2-1/4" x 1-1/4" tri-color jasperware brooch consists of a Wedgwood miniature plaque mounted in a (later) sterling silver setting. The jasper ware cameo dates to approximately 1780-1800, and this beautiful miniature has a very light blue, white and royal blue edge classical scene of a sacrifice to the gods of classic mythology. This exact cameo appears in the top of a patch box in the 1953 Wedgwood book by Wolf Mankowitz, dated to circa 1785 (plate 97). These miniature Wedgwood jaspers were often mounted in the cut steel jewellery popular in the Georgian period, or were sometimes set into the top of boxes, but were also sold unmounted. The mounting for this pin is sterling silver, with a modern period wheel catch, so it would have been set in the sterling setting at a later date. It is impressed WEDGWOOD with a small cross mark, a deep and not perfectly evenly lettered mark as should be expected in a piece of this age. The pin is stamped STERLING and it has a safety catch. A genuine George III English Spade Guinea coin pendant dated 1791 and made of 22K gold. This is a genuine antique Georgian period gold coin from the UK - it was only in production from 1787-99. It measures 1" across and it has been soldered to a 14k or 15k mount with an attached loop for wear as a pendant or as a watch fob. This coin shows considerable wear (high carat gold was very soft and wore easily) however the subject matter and date is clearly visible. This pendant weighs 8.4 grams (in total) and it has no monograms, dents, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs other than the later mount and the expected wear to the coin.
