An early Danecraft sterling silver lily parure set circa 1940. It consists of the 2-5/8" x 2" brooch pin with safety catch, the 16" long and 5/8" wide necklace with spring-ring catch, and the 7/8" x 5/8" pierced earrings. Each piece and link is in the form of a lily, and this set is signed with the Danecraft Sterling mark except for the earrings, which have been converted to pierced/posts (losing the marks on the screwbacks). The necklace is unfortunately laid out with the flowers facing inward - should face the other way. This set weighs 59.0 grams, and it is in otherwise excellent vintage condition with no dents, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs other than the post replacements. A set of 3 sterling silver ducks scatter pins from the 1930s-40s. This charming vintage set of three handmade gilt sterling silver duck scatter or sweater pins have safety catches and they measure from 1-1/2" across to 1-1/4" x 1-1/8" across. They are stamped HANDMADE STERLING on the backs, no other marks, and the gilding that remains has a rose gold colour, which was very popular in the 1930s -early 1940s. The bodies and wings are layered and slightly repousse, giving the pins a nice lift and depth, and they are rather charming and slightly comical. This set is in very good condition with no dents, bends, corrosion, damage or repairs other than the loss of most of the original gilding, traces of which remain on the fronts of the pins. An outstanding Art Deco sterling silver enamel and marcasites pendant necklace circa 1930. The pendant itslf measures 2" x 1" (including enamelled bale loop). It features colorful matte enamel in of geometric flowers in lilac, yellow, orange, lime green, blue and black with various sizes of marquisites. Please note that the colors may appear several shades brighter in our pictures than they are in real life, and the blue is a light royal blue, not turquoise. It is stamped EN in a kidney-shaped cartouche and STERLING on the back - we are still researching the maker. it weighs 7.5 grams (pendant only). We were unable to find any corresponding information about this mark, at first glance it looks very much like a piece produced by the Theodor Farhner firm, who were well known for such fine matte enamel finishes and the extensive use of marquisites. It is shown with a very recent sterling silver chain which is not included. This item is in good condition with no cracks, dents, bends, corrosion or repairs other than a visible loss to the red-orange enamel and a couple of very short surface abrasions to the blue (just visible with a loupe). This size 5 ring is 3/4" across and it features a green genuine chrysoprase curved bevelled stone, surrounded by flashy marquisites in a square setting. The shoulders of the hoop have typical period engraved flower designs and this lovely ring weighs 4.2 grams. A Birks 14K gold charm bracelet with 7 different 14k or 18K figural charms circa 1930s and possibly later. The bracelet itself is 7-1/2" long and the loops are 1/4" at widest. The charms are:
- an 18k gold ladies figure skate with a white painted enamel except for the skate inner flap, which is red. About 1/5 of the enamel is worn, otherwise quite intact. 3/4" x 5/8".
- a moveable 18k Italian Commedia dell'Arte sad clown figure. He is not always shown with the pointed cap, and the face is a bird mask. Modern versions of this figure rarely show that cap, now it is usually a rounded one. His arms and legs move freely. The large round raised dots are meant to represent his oversized pompoms. 1-3/8" tall.
- a 14k Spanish bullfighter/toreador with cape and bull. 7/8" tall.
- an 18k Venetian gondola boat with gondolier figure. 1-1/8" length.
an 18k donkey or pack animal with harness and saddle. 3/4" x 1/2" tall
- a 14k horn - it is either an older bugle horn or a traditional hunting horn. 3/4" x 1/2". (585 mark).
- an 18k bucket with handle containing a champagne bottle (European hallmarks, possibly French). 3/4" tall.
The bracelet is stamped BIRKS and 14Kt on one side. The charms are all stamped on the charms or on the attached loops. A 14k jadite or jadeite bangle bracelet from the 1930s. This exceptional vintage round yellow gold and genuine natural jadeite bracelet features hand engraved gold encasing or wrapping around the light green mottled jade. Unlike many examples this one has continuous gold around the interior and six wraps around the jade hoop. It measures 2-3/8" across the interior wall (inside of bangle measurement) and is 5/16" wide or thick. It has a box clasp with a heart shaped button and a safety chain. It is stamped 585 and 14K on the tongue of the clasp and the hinge is tightly made so as not to show unless it is opened. This beauty could be older than the 1930s and it weighs 26.5 grams.
