An Early American Pressed or Pattern Glass miniature 2-5/8" tall creamer in the Drum pattern, issued in the 1890s by Bryce Higbee & Co., Pittsburgh. This cream jug is possibly part of a child's set, and it is in excellent original condition with no chips, cracks, losses, damage or repairs other than a bit of roughness on the right side of the spout and on the bottom ridge of the handle (these could be original to the manufacture). A set for 12 mother of pearl handle silver plated fish knives and forks from the 1897-1900 era. This 24 piece set consists of the 7-7/8" fish knives and the 6-3/4" forks. Each piece has a mother of pearl handle with excellent lustre and green and pink flash. The ferrules are unmarked and nicely embossed (they may be silver - we haven't tested them and it wasn't required to mark small, light items). The silver plated fittings (knife blades and forks) have ornate and attractive hand engraving and they have the maker's mark for Harrison Fisher of Sheffield, England (established 1897, this mark in use from 1897-1900). We don't have a box for this set however they will be shipped in a long cloth flatware wrap with pouches for each piece. A scarce 19th century ironstone 6-3/8" plate in the scarce Canadian pattern retailed and signed by F.T. Thomas, Quebec, Canada. This brown transfer plate features a view of Montmorency Fall Winter View and it has the pattern's beaver, vine and flower border. This piece of historical Canadian dinnerware is in fair condition with some condition issues including a a tight crack, some staining and darkening of the allover crazing lines. A true rarity of vintage American pressed or pattern glass. This is the 5-1/4" long and 4-5/8" wide wall pocket in the Elephant or Jumbo pattern in amber glass, issued by the King Glass Co. in 1890. Variously described as a match holder, match striker, wall pocket or vase, this item has vivid and crisp detail. It is 2-3/4" deep and is guaranteed to be antique glass. This item is in fair original condition with no chips, losses, damage or repairs other than a large internal crack below the eye and above the tusks. This crack is visible from the front and around the back and it appears to be a dividing line between the light upper glass and the deeper amber hue of the glass in the trunk. It can't be felt from the front but can be felt with a fingernail on the interior - the integrity of the piece is intact. Please note the straw mark just below the eye in the last picture (it's not a crack); this item's book value is $750 + in intact condition. A Loetz Crete Papillon 7" Czech art glass green vase 1890 1900. This period vase has the famous Papillon finish in green (Crete) and this line was introduced in 1898. It has a tapered 3-1/8" across girdle and 2-5/8" base. It is in very good condition with no cracks, wear or repairs however there is a 1/4" rim chip mostly affecting the inside of the rim with minimal impact to the outside - this vase can be ground down to eliminate the chip if you are so inclined. An 800 silver Art Nouveau floral German napkin ring circa 1900. This high style, high relief table decor item measures 1-1/2" wide and 1-7/8" across the interior. The beautiful design goes around the outside and it has a fancy Gothic B monogram as well as a full set of hallmarks from Germany. It also has the maker's mark for Franz Mosgau of Berlin (est. 1807) and this item dates to the 1895-1900 era. It is in very good condition with a small dent/rim split at the top rim of the napkin ring which is at the seam where the silver was soldered into a ring. It has various small and shallow dents and bends most of which are most likely from the hand forming and embossing of this item. A Victorian sterling silver ornate link silver coins watch chain necklace from 1895. This exceptional, highly styled chain shows Victorian design at its best. It is 16-3/4" long and it consists of a swivel, coiled infinity knot style links, oblong rod links with interior silver coils along with a swivel, t-bar, silver coins and a gold-fronted sterling scroll style 1-1/8 x 3/4" watch fob. The coins include a Canada 1881 five cent silver piece, a British 1854 three pence coin ("thruppence"), a U.S. 1890 dime (10 cent silver) and a British 1887 silver florin. Each component has a British silver stamp (lion) and the fob has a full set of hallmarks and a registry number (for 1895) as well as the maker's mark for Charles Edward Soloman. This exceptional chain would make a great and stylish necklace and it weighs 57.1 grams; it is in excellent condition with no dents, bends, corrosion, monograms, losses, damage or repairs. An amber daisy and button pickle cruet with stand and tongs from the 1880 1900 era. The pressed glass liner is 5" tall and the 11-1/4" tall stand has decorated feet and a floral arched handle and the matching tongs have claw feet. The lid of the cruet has a perching bird, and the stand is marked SILVERPLATED MADE IN CANADA on the underside rim. This item is in superb near mint condition with no chips, cracks, dents, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs whatsoever - the plating is completely intact with no wear or loss at all. There are some engraved identification markings on the underside of the stand from a previous owner. A pair of stunning hand painted and gilt metal mounted 19th century Sevres style plant pots or jardinieres. This pair consists of two French porcelain 9-1/2" diameter and 7-3/4" tall planters with white glazed interiors and painted scenes on the exterior. The scenes include floral panels and 18th century couples on a deep turquoise blue ground with hand gilding. Each pot is mounted on a footed gilt brass stand, which has two side straps with lion heads with mouth tassels. Each strap is mounted to a top beaded collar anchoring the pot to the fittings. They have a blue painted Sevres style mark and the uprights are stamped AH on the interior. Condition is reasonable considering their age, with the following issues: there is minor gilding loss, one metal arm/upright has been broken in three pieces and it has been crudely soldered and re-broken, some of the screws are replacements and one segment of one support column has been refastened on a different part of the upper collar on one pot. One pot and fittings is intact, the other needs some professional brazing and refitting of the fractured column. The pots themselves are in excellent condition with no crazing, chips, cracks or repairs other than some minor wear to the gilding and some dulling of the interior bottom glaze from use in the past. We've seen the supports offered online on occasion (rescued from broken examples) so it may be possible to replace the damaged one. This handsome matching pair is in as-described condition as stated above. An Unger Bros. 4 piece sterling silver brush, mirror and box dresser set from the 1890s. This fancy repousse sets consists of the 9-3/8 x 5" hand mirror with beveled glass, the 9 x 2-3/4" natural bristle hair brush, the 2" across round lidded pomade, salve or rouge pot or box with a gilded interior and an associated (not Unger) 3-5/8 x 1-1/8" natural bristle clothes or dress brush. Three pieces feature the Unger Brothers mark and STERLING 925 FINE and the small brush is marked STERLING 925/1000 8164. This 5-7/8" tall tableware serving piece is stamped with the Gorham lion/anchor/G STERLING mark with 1 1/4 PINT and it has the number 1 and the Gorham year cipher for 1899. A Victorian Aesthetic silver plated hot water pot by Reed & Barton 1876. This 9-1/4" tall pot is stamped with the Reed & Barton mark, the 2764 pattern number and the patent date of Feb. 1, 1876. It has fine floral high relief feet and floral bands plus hand tooling and a pebbled finish on the top panel. It has a hinged lid with a tight spout cover and the finial is a basket with flowers and it would make a fine syrup pitcher. This item is in excellent condition with no losses, dents, monograms, corrosion, repairs or damage other than a couple of small spots of plating loss. A genuine Chinese late 19th century oxblood glaze classic bulbous shape vase. This vase is 9-1/8" in height and features the lovely brownish red oxblood glaze over a greyish-white ceramic body. It has fairly thick glaze at the base, which shows some frit. It has allover crazing and the surface of the glaze has fine overall pinpoint pitting from firing as well. It is unmarked and it is in good condition with no cracks, losses, damage or repairs other than a small area on the upper rim where there is a dullness in the glaze and small shallow depression. (the rim glaze is mostly intact). The glaze at the bottom shows some chipping also, likely caused during removal from the kiln after firing. Some of these pieces were of lesser quality, as there was pressure to produce them to meet the export demand, even in the 19th century. Subsequently, there was less care in their production than in the finer quality 18th century pieces. That is not true of all 19th and early 20th century Chinese oxblood ware, but some pieces like this show that they were produced more quickly and with a little less care than earlier pieces produced for the wealthier in China and elsewhere. A Victorian Aesthetic butterflies gilt basket with a cranberry glass bowl liner dated 1869. This antique serving piece is truly superb, from the immaculately detailed gilded butterfly basket with a swing handle to the original cranberry glass bowl with a polished base. The three feet have fine hand engraving and most unusually each of the seven butterflies has the old English diamond registry mark incorporated into the design, not added or stamped on later. Although unsigned this is a work of superb craftsmanship and the registry number dates the design to 1869. It measures 4-1/2" across and it stands 5-3/4" tall with the handle upright. It is in excellent condition with no dents, bends, losses, damage or repairs other than a few small areas of darkening to the gilding and a couple of very tiny edge nicks to the liner. A Colossus or Lacy Spiral Burlington Glass clear EAPG water goblet from the 1880s. This 6-1/2" tall antique pressed glass item was made by the Burlington Glass Works of Hamilton, Ontario, Canada (1874-97) (and possibly produced by other companies). It is a beautiful clear white with very crisp detail. A Rowland & Marsellus Winnipeg Manitoba flow blue souvenir plate from the 1900 era. This 10-1/8" late Victorian English ceramic rolled edge display plate features views of Winnipeg Manitoba including the Canadian buffalo, Wesley College, Seven Oaks Monument, Fort Garry, Holy Trinity Church, Deaf and Dumb Institute and City Hall and Volunteers Monument. it is stamped with the blue Rowland & Marsellus mark and it states this plate was made for the Imperial Dry Goods Co. An Austrian cold painted bronze quails figurine from around 1900. This highly detailed 1-1/2" wide and 1-1/8" tall group depicts a pair of finely detailed quail birds with brown, white and red cold painting. It is stamped GESCHIT 1134 on the bottom and it is in fair condition with no dents, bends, corrosion, or repairs however it has a rough area on the side of the tall bird which may have been where another bird was attached originally.
