An antique sterling silver treasure chest design trinket box, fully hallmarked for London, England 1904. This English Arts and Crafts period 3-3/4" x 1-1/2" hinged box was made by Corke Bros. & Co. It has hand hammered panels with fleur-de-lis decoration and long hinges, and it resembles a treasure or pirate chest. It has a chained pin which inserts into a loop with hasp and a tooled and mounted escutcheon on the top. The interior is gilded, and this lovely small jewel or table tobacco snuff box weighs 80.4 grams. This miniature sterling chest has no tobacco odour, but is the correct size for a table snuff box, and such boxes were usually gilded inside to prevent corrosion. It is in excellent condition with no dents, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs other than the replacement of the hasp, which had broken off and has been resoldered/replaced. A set of 7 hoosier glass storage jars from the 1930s with the original lids. These pressed glass hoosier kitchen food storage jars have their original aluminum lids which still fits tightly. The set consists of a set of seven including five of the 4-1/4" spice jars and two of the 7-3/4" tall canister jars. All have a ribbed pattern and all have a blank area for a contents label except for one which has an embossed COFFEE. We don't know who made them and they are in very good useful condition with no cracks, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs other than some denting on the edge of one large lid and some minor chipping and roughness to the glass support rim on two of the small jars, one of which has a couple of spots of white paint on the lid.
