A Karl (Carl) Schultheiss numbered etching circa 1930. This 8-3/4" x 6-5/8" numbered, limited closed edition engraving probably of Angers Cathedral is by the German engraver Karl (Carl) Max Schultheiss (1885-1961). Starting out in Germany, he moved to the U.S. in the 1930s, where he had a 1938 exhibition of his etchings at the Art Institute of Chicago. This etching, in the original 16-1/4" x 16-1/4" black painted wood frame with original mat is signed on the right lower corner; it has a 98/350 number in pencil, and it has an embossed WOLGEMUTH & LISSNER BERLIN printer's mark. It would have had the original T. Eaton Co. inventory sticker and a label stating: "ORIGINAL ETCHING bearing the artists signature. This proof has been printed by hand from the original copper plate, etched by the artist and is published in a short limited edition, the plate ultimately being destroyed. Published by Wohlgemuth & Lissner, Berlin" as found on our other contemporary Schultheiss etching. This art etching is in excellent original condition with no tears, foxing, holes, fading, losses, damage or repairs, however the backing paper and stickers are absent on this example. An Art Deco coral celluloid & brass flapper necklace from the 1920s. This original genuine 30-1/2" necklace features a further 4-1/4" central drop with a large 2" x 7/8" celluloid drop. The coral coloured tube beads are linked by brass chains and each celluloid link has brass caps. This unsigned necklace is in excellent original condition with no chips, cracks, dents, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs other than some deformation of the second lowest celluloid link in the drop (partly covered by the brass cap) and some partial whitening of 6 of the cylinder shaped beads which sat on the nape of the neck (probably from makeup or perfume, some of which will rub off). An Art Deco 14k white gold amethyst ring from about 1920. This size 5 oval solitaire ring measures 5/8" x 1/2" across the top and it weighs 4.2 grams. It is stamped 14 K with an arrow maker's mark. The amethyst is a genuine natural stone, is approximately 4 carats in size (estimated in setting by gauge). The elegant scroll and engraving owes as much to the ornate style of the Edwardian period. The stone has a slightly lighter space of color gradient just off the center as can be see in the blow-up view picture 4. We like to mention all details, it is not too noticeable in real life. A sterling silver and guilloche pink enamel 2 piece nail buffer from the 1920s. This fine quality fully hallmarked Art Deco period sterling silver nail buffer has beautiful rose pink guilloche enamel decoration. It is fully hallmarked for Birmingham, England 1925-6, this buffer measures 6" x 1-5/8" and it stands 2-3/8" high. The top features a blue plain enamel interior and the enamel covers the top and the bottom's sides. It has the maker's mark for Charles S. A 950 silver Komai damascene panels bracelet circa 1900 1920. This scarce bracelet from Japan features eleven 1-1/16" x 3/8" loop-linked panels with inlaid silver and gold on a black matte (actually iron) ground. The panels resemble those in room dividing screens, and each has a different design and a simple engraved design on the back of the silver sections. A beautiful Art Deco period 18k white gold filigree and genuine diamonds lady's ring circa 1920. This lacy basketweave size 5-3/4 or 575 ring has three diamonds, including a 20 point antique brilliant cut diamond and two ~5 point brilliant cut diamonds (all VS clarity, G-H colour). This more ornate design of ring was a hold-over from the Edwardian era. An English hand painted Gaudy Welsh tea set by Allerton's, consisting of the 6" high teapot (including finial), the 5" tall large covered sugar bowl, the 4-3/4" tall milk or cream jug, four 2-1/2" tall cups and four 5-7/8" fitted saucers. Including the lids there are 13 pieces and each is handpainted with cobalt, orange, green and copper lustre. the shape and decoration are undoubtedly those of Allertons however the saucers are marked with what appear to be impressed date stamps (from 1928-29). The sugar and teapot have a 30 mark - it was illegal to sell unmarked china after 1891 so this set would appear to predate that year due to the lack of markings. Or not. A rare and exotic authentic period Art Deco gilt brass and purple glass bead mesh head covering or skullcap hat c1920s. This unusual and fabulous fashion accessory would have been the height of fashion at a speakeasy or dance club; it consists of large gilt brass loops, gold plated chains and purple glass beads. It is unsigned and it measures 13" long when suspended from the central loop and 11-1/2" across the loops. This 17-1/4" beauty consists of entwined finely coiled strands of wire on cord, one patinated black and the other brass, with a suspended 1-3/8" disc pendant. The pendant has a black onyx-style bakelite or celluloid ring with a creamy white dome of celluloid in the center, all set is a bezel brass setting. An Art Deco bakelite and celluloid snake upper arm bracelet circa 1920s. This genuine period survivor measures 3" x 2-7/8" across the interior and the snake's heads are 5/16" across and both have cobalt blue glass rhinestone eyes. The body is black celluloid with an applied clear yellow layer over a bed of embedded sparkly metallic confetti. This Egyptian style figural bracelet is in mostly excellent condition with no chips, cracks, losses, damage or repairs other than some groove striations/lines of the yellow section from the black and the usual fine patina of scratches from use, There are a couple of superficial stress cracks in the yellow section as well. A genuine, vintage hand embroidered and beaded Pashtun tablecloth or tray cover cloth from the early part of the 20th century. These decorative embroidered and beaded textiles were made to show off the skills of young women in contemplation of marriage and this was brought back from Afghanistan in the 1960s. It is typically brilliantly coloured and it measures 33" x 27" (that measurement includes the beaded strands, which are approximately 1/1/2" in length).
