A Birks sterling silver column candlestick from the 1920s. This 5-5/8" tall weighted candle holder measures 2-3/16" across the base and it has a simple style. It is stamped BIRKS STERLING 4/26/ and it weighs 257.1 grams. It is in fair condition with no corrosion, losses or repairs however it has a fancy S monogram and some denting and bending to the top and bottom rims. A Birks sterling silver sauce boat with under tray dated 1946. The sauce boat measures 5" from the edge of the spout to the outer edge of the curved handle and it stands 2-1/4" tall (excluding the handle) on it's four hoof style feet. The boat has the Birks date mark for 1942 while the 5-5/8 x 3-5/8" tray bears a 1946 date stamp. This classy serving piece weighs 128.4 grams and it is in excellent condition with no monograms, bends, corrosion, damage or repairs other than a few slight scratches and small, shallow dents on the boat rest part of the tray. There are a couple of short scratches on the bottom of the tray where someone tested it (maybe the stamped word "STERLING" had too many syllables for the tester to handle). A 5-5/8" long sterling silver honey serving spoon and 4-1/8" sugar tongs in the Tudor Scroll flatware pattern, introduced by Birks in 1919 - it had been out of production for some time. The honey spoon has a narrow flattened rim unlike the similarly shaped sugar shell and both items are in very good condition with no bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs other than some tiny denting to the back of the spoon and a W monogram on each piece. A blue enamel sterling silver WIF initials pin brooch from 1910 1920. This elegant 1" pin has the stylish WIF initials against a turquoise enamel ground. It has a safety pin style clasp, it is stamped STERLING and it weighs 7.3 grams. A good conversation piece if you invent a name or phrase to go with the initials (polite or otherwise). A boulder opal sterling silver pendant from the 1960s 1980s. This 1-3/8 x 7/8" pendant features a bezel set natural brown/orange boulder opal with super colour flash and nice three dimensional clarity. It is fiery red with green highlights in the clear opal section (MUCH more vivid and colorful in person than in our pictures) and the sterling setting is unevenly shaped. A Charles Horner sterling silver hot water pot hallmarked for Birmingham, England 1906. This fine serving piece of Edwardian antique sterling silver stands 6-5/8" to the top of the carved bolt-mounted finial, 6-3/4" from handle to spout and it weighs 255.3 grams (8.2 troy ounces). It has the hallmarks for Charles Horner, it is in the Queen Anne style and it is in very good condition with no chips, cracks, bends, corrosion, damage or repairs other than two small and shallow depressions/dents above the reeded base and a shallow flattened area on the base rim. A Chinese export silver 3 piece cruet set with spiders and lizards. This truly unusual and well-made three piece cruet set is in high grade Chinese export silver. Dating to the late 19th-early 20th century, this condiment set has the 2-1/2" high pepper shaker, the 1-1/4" high open salt dish and the 2-1/4" high lidded mustard pot with handle. What makes this set exceptional is the presence of very high relief applied spiders being chased by lizards. The mouths are open on the lizards and the detail is stunning; each piece is on three insect-like legs. Each piece has Chinese silver marks, not a mark I have seen before - but given the unusual use of lizards and bugs, this piece had the look of work by Chinese silversmith Luen Hing. I have not seen this mark attached to any of his known work, so this is merely a speculative opinion. The 3 pc set weighs a total of 115.9 grams, and there is no liner present in the salt dish. This set is in excellent vintage condition with no bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs other than some indenting to two feet on each of the interiors of the mustard and salt pieces, and slight denting on bugs. This fine hand engraved 9 x 6-3/4" standup picture frame dates to around 1910 and this oval frame has ball feet, a brass support foot (patented May 19, 1908) and the original plush insert.
