A rare and exotic authentic period Art Deco gilt brass and purple glass bead mesh head covering or skullcap hat c1920s. This unusual and fabulous fashion accessory would have been the height of fashion at a speakeasy or dance club; it consists of large gilt brass loops, gold plated chains and purple glass beads. It is unsigned and it measures 13" long when suspended from the central loop and 11-1/2" across the loops. This item is in excellent vintage condition with no chips, cracks, dents, bends, losses, damage or repairs. There is some minor wear to the gilding in spots, not too noticeable and appropriate for age. Guaranteed to be a vintage covering, not a reproduction. An Art Deco French jet and orange cut glass beaded flapper sautoir necklace with a tassel from the 1920s. No Jazz age flapper would have been complete without a necklace that moved with a tassels - people danced more at parties and weddings in that time. This one is genuine Art Deco (NOT a reproduction) and the necklace hangs 16" long not including the 5-1/8" tassel sautoir drop. The orange beads are 3/16" across with tiny black spacers and the French jet (black glass) beads include round, teardrop and oval shapes, all with facets. An Art Deco coral celluloid & brass flapper necklace from the 1920s. This original genuine 30-1/2" necklace features a further 4-1/4" central drop with a large 2" x 7/8" celluloid drop. The coral coloured tube beads are linked by brass chains and each celluloid link has brass caps. An Art Deco bakelite and celluloid snake upper arm bracelet circa 1920s. This genuine period survivor measures 3" x 2-7/8" across the interior and the snake's heads are 5/16" across and both have cobalt blue glass rhinestone eyes. The body is black celluloid with an applied clear yellow layer over a bed of embedded sparkly metallic confetti. This Egyptian style figural bracelet is in mostly excellent condition with no chips, cracks, losses, damage or repairs other than some groove striations/lines of the yellow section from the black and the usual fine patina of scratches from use, There are a couple of superficial stress cracks in the yellow section as well. An early Art Deco 14k white and yellow gold watch chain with slip knot shape long links circa 1920. This vintage 15-1/4" long watchchain is unusual, each link has a slip-knot in the center. The links alternate between white and yellow gold. The spring-ring is a replacement, as unlike the rest of the chain which is 14k, it is 10k. The chain is stamped 585 (14K) on the loop near the swivel. The swivel is a moveable one, with s what appears to be an anchor. (tested for gold content, as it is otherwise unmarked). The stone weight is estimated in setting, so it may be very slightly larger. The pin section is yellow gold and 2-1/4" in length. The top measures 1/4" across and all tests at 14 k. This is an antique 15k yellow gold horseshoe bangle bracelet circa 1880. This Victorian equestrian or sporting bracelet is a well-made piece with a tight fitting hinge and tongue and box clasp. Note the small size and oval shape - it measures 2-1/4" x 1-7/8" across the interior (inner wall-to-wall measurement) and 1/2" across the horse shoe. It has a matte and a polished finish. This 15 K Victorian beauty hails from the period when sport and animal motif jewelry was most popular in the 19th century, which is 1870-80. It of is of typical hollow construction with a matte finish and it weighs 12.0 grams. It is stamped 15 inside the clasp, but has also been tested. Anything Egyptian was all the rage at this time, and this 2-1/4" x 5/8" brooch is typical. The beetles are real, they are a chrysomelid, also known as a tortoise beetle.
