A pair of antique Dutch china wedding bowls circa 1865. This nice set of wedding bowls dates to 1865 and they were made to commemmorate the wedding of Dirk Hoogedorn to Agije Brink on April 30, 1865. These 4-3/8" diameter and 2-1/4" tall bowls we given to the guests as a remembrance of the wedding. They are finely hand-decorated with rich gilt lettering and decoration, and they are unmarked. A pair of unsigned Bohemian Arts & Crafts satin glass jewelled vases circa 1900. This wonderful pair stands 9-3/4" tall and they have applied moonstone-like glass jewels along the neck and base. The mounts are gold painted, as is the top edge and the edges of the steppes. The colour is a pale pastel blue/grey with subtle translucence, and this pair is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, repairs or damage other than the loss of one moonstone jewel and some minor losses to the gold on the upper edges. A pair of early Staffordshire figurines of eagles on vermicular or marble painted bases from 1820-1850. These well modelled heavily gilded 19thC English earthenware eagles are 7-3/4" tall. Both have tilted heads and back-stretched wings. They have purple, yellow and orange marble-like painting on the simple rectangular shape bases. The mustard yellow rocky perches have a blue flower. They not signed with a manufacturer's stamp, unfortunately fairly common with Staffordshire figures. They are in very good, but not undamaged condition. One is undamaged with only a firing crack, which is original to the manufacture of the figurines (see image), and the other has had the lower portion of one wing and the head re-glued. Some wear to the gilding. The breaks and repair are quite clean and it could be restored professionally. The only pair of Staffordshire eagles I have owned in over 40 years selling antiques. The firing crack is very small with only small expected disturbances (including slight browning to the beak of one eagle) which don't detract from the appeal of these unusual figurines. A pair of ornate Edwardian sterling silver posie vases dated 1902-1903. These attractive 3-7/8" tall sterling silver vases are fully hallmarked for Birmingham, England (one 1902, the other 1903). These vases are plaster filled under the bases and they weigh a total of 127 grams. They have the maker's mark for Saunders & Shepherd Ltd. London. This pair is in mostly excellent antique condition for its age with no corrosion damage or repairs other than a bend at the top of one vase and some shallow denting underneath the vases(1903)some minor cracking and soiling to the plaster. A pair of English Imari lustre jugs from the 1830s. This decorative unmarked pair of early to mid 19thC English jugs or pitchers is in the Imari colours with pink Sunderland luster. The largest is 8" tall and the smaller is 7"; both have embossed decoration and are hand painted. These jugs are in excellent condition with no cracks, losses, damage or repairs except for some minor glaze flakes and craze lines on the upper rim of the larger jug, some allover crazing on the smaller jug, a couple of straight-line craze lines on the smaller one that don't appear on the external side of the piece, and some very minor spots of wear to the decoration. A pair of English sterling silver 2-3/8" candlesticks hallmarked Birmingham, England 1969. These small yet elegant candle holders are traditional in shape and they have felted bottoms. A pair of English sterling silver matching gravy boats from 1906 by Martin Hall & Co. hallmarked for Sheffield England 1906 - 1907. This antique matched pair of 2 gravy or sauce servers measure 7" from the lip to the edge of the handle and they stand 3-3/4" tall to the handle's top; they have the maker's mark for Martin Hall & Co. Ltd. They weigh 343 grams and have a Celtic design G or G monogram. The feet are a simple trefoil shape. They have a liquid capacity of approximately eight to nine ounces in each gravy boat. They are in very good antique condition with no breaks, losses, damage or repairs other than some surface marks on one boat (which (see pictures) and ordinary signs of use. A large pair of European 19thC porcelain figural centerpiece swan bowls. Made as dining room table decorations with an open center for flowers, fruit, etc., these large and beautifully detailed swans are possible German in origin (both are unmarked). They measure 12-1/2" long and they stand 10" high; they are finely detailed and are in a simple white glaze. They weigh approximately 4 pounds / a bit under 2 kilograms each. They are in very good original condition with no cracks, scrapes, damage or repairs other than a loss to the right foot of one and some bottom-only small craze lines and slight loss to the left foot on the other. A pair of gilt brass roses metalwork table lamps with marble bases from the 1930s 1940s. These beauties stand 25-3/4" to the tops of the original finials and the bases are genuine black veined marble. They may actually date from the 1920s and they have been rewired and resocketed. The pleated silk shades shown are later (and were on the lamps when we acquired them) and they can be included if you wish (they have minor staining/spotting) but that will raise the shipping costs substantially. The antiqued patination is intact but attractively mellowed and the metalwork could use a good, gentle cleaning. A pair of so-called Whimsey glass vases c1900. Glass whimseys, or end-of-day glass, were made at the end of the day's glass production by glassmakers using leftover glass; these items were usually taken home and given as gifts. Many forms were produced, including glass canes, figurines and artistic objects. This pair is made of amber and citrene coloured glass with white highlights and ribbon decoration. They are unsigned and the amber vase has a hook so it can be hung on a wall; the other sits on a table. The hanging vase measures 6-7/8" from top to bottom and the yellowish table vase is 4-1/2" from the edge of the trumpet to the edge of the stem. A pair of Gorham sterling salt dishes with spoons dated 1889. This embossed pair of 19th century salt cellars are 2" in diameter and they feature floral embossing and scalloped rims; they are stamped with the lion/anchor/G Gorham mark, STERLING, 2235 (pattern number) with the Gorham 1889 year mark. The pair of 2-1/8" long sterling silver salt spoons also have the Gorham old hallmark with STERLING, and they are in the Colonial pattern by Gorham, which was introduced in 1885. Each has the PAT. 1897 Gorham sterling lion and anchor mark along with an X in a circle and STERLING and each has a script E monogram. The pair of serving spoons weigh 113 gr.
