A Birks 14k yellow gold triple garnets ring from the 1950s. This size 6-3/4 ring features three oval faceted red/orange claw-set garnets measuring 1/2 x 3/8" across the stones. A Birks 14K gold charm bracelet with 7 different 14k or 18K figural charms circa 1930s and possibly later. The bracelet itself is 7-1/2" long and the loops are 1/4" at widest. The charms are:
- an 18k gold ladies figure skate with a white painted enamel except for the skate inner flap, which is red. About 1/5 of the enamel is worn, otherwise quite intact. 3/4" x 5/8".
- a moveable 18k Italian Commedia dell'Arte sad clown figure. He is not always shown with the pointed cap, and the face is a bird mask. Modern versions of this figure rarely show that cap, now it is usually a rounded one. His arms and legs move freely. The large round raised dots are meant to represent his oversized pompoms. 1-3/8" tall.
- a 14k Spanish bullfighter/toreador with cape and bull. 7/8" tall.
- an 18k Venetian gondola boat with gondolier figure. 1-1/8" length.
an 18k donkey or pack animal with harness and saddle. 3/4" x 1/2" tall
- a 14k horn - it is either an older bugle horn or a traditional hunting horn. 3/4" x 1/2". (585 mark).
- an 18k bucket with handle containing a champagne bottle (European hallmarks, possibly French). 3/4" tall.
The bracelet is stamped BIRKS and 14Kt on one side. The charms are all stamped on the charms or on the attached loops. The charm measurements do not include the bale loops as part of the height measurement. The bale loops are all soldered except for the figure skate. The bracelet weight is 21.1 grams. It is in very good vintage condition with no cracks, losses, damage or repairs other than a loss of painted enamel white to the skate and some off rounding to the ice bucket, making it slightly out of shape shape. A vintage lady's Benrus wristwatch in 14k white gold c1950s-1960. This 11/16" across watch has a Speidel expansion band with white gold plating. It is stamped 14K GOLD on the back, the works are stamped TWENTY-ONE 21 JEWELS UNADJUSTED SWISS BENRUS WATCH Co INC MODEL DZ 401. The back is stamped CASED AND TIMED IN BY THE BENRUS WATCH Co 14 KARAT GOLD 52875. A fine original Art Deco period glass beaded long flapper necklace c1920s. This impressive 40" necklace is 3/8" across the triple-strand segments, and it has a fringed 1-3/4" x 1-1/8" beaded drop. The beads are silvered clear beads, yellow spacers, with dark yellow and blue beads on the drop. The blue beads form the letter M, and there is one segment strand of blue beads and a couple of errant blue beads in the necklace itself. A splendid 17-1/2" carved and lathe turned bakelite necklace c1920s-30s. This necklace consists of turned and hand-carved bakelite beads in oval, round and barrel forms; the colours include off-white, swirled tan, 2 colour pale green and brown. Most beads have variable colour layers and stripes, and the between triple disc striped spacers are all one piece. This 2-1/8" x 1-1/2" brooch is of hollow construction with very high relief detail; it has the axe mark for Kerr and it is stamped STERLING and 1941 model number. An outstanding Art Deco sterling silver enamel and marcasites pendant necklace circa 1930. The pendant itslf measures 2" x 1" (including enamelled bale loop). It features colorful matte enamel in of geometric flowers in lilac, yellow, orange, lime green, blue and black with various sizes of marquisites. Please note that the colors may appear several shades brighter in our pictures than they are in real life, and the blue is a light royal blue, not turquoise. It is stamped EN in a kidney-shaped cartouche and STERLING on the back - we are still researching the maker. it weighs 7.5 grams (pendant only). We were unable to find any corresponding information about this mark, at first glance it looks very much like a piece produced by the Theodor Farhner firm, who were well known for such fine matte enamel finishes and the extensive use of marquisites. It is shown with a very recent sterling silver chain which is not included. This item is in good condition with no cracks, dents, bends, corrosion or repairs other than a visible loss to the red-orange enamel and a couple of very short surface abrasions to the blue (just visible with a loupe). It is stamped 10% IRID. PLAT. to indicate that 10 per cent of the metal is iridium.
