An exceptional and elegant antique Edwardian gold filled 1" diameter photo locket with lovely engine turned purple and white enamel plus seed pearls. It has a ring of leaves on white enamel surrounding the center and the back is undecorated and it has never been monogrammed. It retains the photo retaining bezels in the interior along with the celluloid windows (one side has a later cobalt blue painted background) and it has the F & B initials for Foster and Bailey of Providence, RI. It is in excellent condition with no dents, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs with intact enamel however there is some wear to a couple of the (easily replaced) seed pearls. A sterling bird Southwest poison ring with turquoise eyes from the 1930s. This unusual and vividly depicted ring is in the form of a bird or owl's head; it has two turquoise cabochon eyes, one green and one blue. It measures 5/8 x 1/2", it is hand made and engraved and it has cutout shoulders. The top opens to reveal a poison compartment (in this case it has an instant relative's photo which can be removed). It is unsigned and it has native American symbology on the shank. It weighs 5.1 grams and it is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, dents, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs. A Scottish Dirk pebble and crystal knife pin or brooch from the 1900 era. This late Victorian/early Edwardian pin had fine hand engraving and tooling, the amber stone is of molded glass and the two stones are of red jasper and (probably) black onyx. It measures 2-7/8" long and 3/4" at its widest, it has the original c-clasp and it is stamped SILVER. This Scottish clan classic style brooch is still being produced today and this example is an antique one. A huge, beautifully made vintage Mexican sterling articulated fish pendant c1950s-60s. This fabulous 5-3/8" x 1-3/4" pendant is set with inlaid turquoise and it has a turquoise cabochon eye; each vertebra in the skeleton is linked to the next segment with silver loops and each piece bends independently. It has a large bale for hanging and three round holes resembling a fish spine (no turquoise there, nor was there, and the interior of these holes has black patination). This wonderful piece is stamped TAXCO 925 MEXICO MPL and it has a Mexican bell mark with a 2. It weighs an impressive 41.2 grams and it is in excellent original condition with no chips, cracks, dents, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs. An early Art Deco 10K yellow gold signet ring with a pearl from the 1920 era. This size 6-1/2 ring measures 9/16" x 3/8" across the top which has MA script initials monogrammed on the 10k yellow gold top which also has a seed or half pearl. It is stamped 10K with a maker's mark and a maple leaf in a C mark for Canadian jewellery. It weighs 1.7 grams and it is in excellent vintage condition with no dents, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs however the pearl's nacre has been worn off (but it can easily be replaced). A Scottish sterling silver banded agate sword and shield brooch pin dated 1863. Although a common form this example is one of the most ornate and best constructed we have seen. It measures 2-3/4 x 1", the silver is deeply and intricately tooled and the cut and polished banded agates are well matched and are gray (or grey), white and blue striped. The shield is mounted by wire pins through loops on the sword back and most unusual is a hand-etched British hallmark shield with the letter and number cyphers indicating a manufacturing date of Dec. 6, 1863. This item is in excellent condition with no cracks, dents, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs other than a bend to the C from the original c-clasp (easily straightened). An Art Deco 14k diamond filigree ring from the 1915 - 1920 period. This vintage size 6 yellow gold ring with a white gold top features a 32 point round European antique cut genuine diamond with two flanking diamonds. The diamond is of exceptional (and nowadays very scarce) clarity and colour: it is VVS-2 and F-G colour. The side diamonds total 4 points, this wonderfully styled late-Edwardian/early Art Deco styled ring weighs 2.0 grams and it is stamped 14K with an E in a diamond mark for Eaton's, Canada's premier retailers of finery at this time. It is wonderfully festooned with flowers on the shank and sides and it includes a recent independent, conservative professional gemological appraisal in the amount of $2400CDN. A detailed intaglio Laws Scottish family crest sterling silver seal ring from 1900-1930. This vintage size 7 ring features the family crest from the Laws family with a cockerel atop the shield and the quote from Horace (30 BCE) "COMPOSITUM JUS TASQUE ANIMI" which has various translations referring to justice, uprightness and nobility of the soul (one version states "A mind which respects alike the laws of mutual justice and of god"). It is a true seal ring, with the crest in reverse so it will appear correct on the actual seal. It is shown reversed in one of our images so you can read it. This classic gentleman's pinky ring is stamped STERLING. It has signs of an earlier resizing which likely caused the sterling mark to be barely visible in the last two letters and no maker's mark is presentand it weighs 11.8 grams.
