An antique Rogers Star silver plated julep or punch or cocktail strainer spoon circa 1890. This 5-3/4" spoon has a pierced 2-3/4" across bowl and it was used to strain fruits and spices from juleps, punch or poured cocktails. It is stamped 1847 R.B. A1 for Rogers Brothers and it is in very good condition with no monograms, dents, corrosion, damage or repairs other than some minor bending to the join area of the handle and a bit of minor plating heel wear. A scarce Adams Isola Bella ironstone teapot c1860. This survivor English ironstone teapot measures 10-1/2" from spout to handle and it stands 7-3/4" tall. It has the Adams mark in use from 1819-64, and this table accessory is in very good condition with no losses, damage or repairs other than a hairline crack at the handle, some staining to the finial and some minor chipping to the inside rim under the lid. It has the expected frit and irregularities from the making in a piece this old. A genuine Chinese late 19th century oxblood glaze classic bulbous shape vase. This vase is 9-1/8" in height and features the lovely brownish red oxblood glaze over a greyish-white ceramic body. It has fairly thick glaze at the base, which shows some frit. It has allover crazing and the surface of the glaze has fine overall pinpoint pitting from firing as well. It is unmarked and it is in good condition with no cracks, losses, damage or repairs other than a small area on the upper rim where there is a dullness in the glaze and small shallow depression. (the rim glaze is mostly intact). The glaze at the bottom shows some chipping also, likely caused during removal from the kiln after firing. Some of these pieces were of lesser quality, as there was pressure to produce them to meet the export demand, even in the 19th century. Subsequently, there was less care in their production than in the finer quality 18th century pieces. That is not true of all 19th and early 20th century Chinese oxblood ware, but some pieces like this show that they were produced more quickly and with a little less care than earlier pieces produced for the wealthier in China and elsewhere. An Art Nouveau sterling handle cake knife from the 1895 era. A Gorham sterling silver open sugar bowl dated 1899. This 2-3/4" tall tableware serving piece measures 7" across the handles and it is stamped with the Gorham lion/anchor/G STERLING mark with the Gorham year cipher for 1899. A 19thC Imari ironstone decorative plate. This vintage 19th century 10" ironstone dinner plate is in the Imari palette. This plate is marked IRONSTONE WARRANTED with a crown in blue on the back, and it has a red 5 at the bottom rim and probably dates to the 1830s. A Victorian Aesthetic butterflies gilt basket with a cranberry glass bowl liner dated 1869. This antique serving piece is truly superb, from the immaculately detailed gilded butterfly basket with a swing handle to the original cranberry glass bowl with a polished base. The three feet have fine hand engraving and most unusually each of the seven butterflies has the old English diamond registry mark incorporated into the design, not added or stamped on later. Although unsigned this is a work of superb craftsmanship and the registry number dates the design to 1869. It measures 4-1/2" across and it stands 5-3/4" tall with the handle upright. It is in excellent condition with no dents, bends, losses, damage or repairs other than a few small areas of darkening to the gilding and a couple of very tiny edge nicks to the liner. It may have been regilded at some point, although not necessarily so. A fine piece for your shelf or table. A Queen Victoria Diamond Jubilee china teapot with enamel decoration circa 1897. This scarce royalty commemorative antique teapot celebrates the Diamond Jubilee of the reign of Queen Victoria. This black glaze Jackfield style English teapot measures 9-1/4" across the handle and spout and it stands 7" tall; it has a gold coloured stencil of Victoria on one side and the commemorative legend on the other. There are also thistles, roses and shamrocks and there are hand applied enamels in orange, white and blue. It is stamped in gold MADE IN ENGLAND 936 F on the bottom and this item is in very good condition with no chips, cracks, staining, losses, repairs or damage other than some allover crazing to the black glaze showing white in a few places and grey in most (see pictures); the lid is uncrazed. A Loetz Crete Papillon 7" Czech art glass green vase 1890 1900. This period vase has the famous Papillon finish in green (Crete) and this line was introduced in 1898. It has a tapered 3-1/8" across girdle and 2-5/8" base. It is in very good condition with no cracks, wear or repairs however there is a 1/4" rim chip mostly affecting the inside of the rim with minimal impact to the outside - this vase can be ground down to eliminate the chip if you are so inclined. An 800 silver Art Nouveau floral German napkin ring circa 1900. This high style, high relief table decor item measures 1-1/2" wide and 1-7/8" across the interior. The beautiful design goes around the outside and it has a fancy Gothic B monogram as well as a full set of hallmarks from Germany. It also has the maker's mark for Franz Mosgau of Berlin (est. 1807) and this item dates to the 1895-1900 era. It is in very good condition with a small dent/rim split at the top rim of the napkin ring which is at the seam where the silver was soldered into a ring. It has various small and shallow dents and bends most of which are most likely from the hand forming and embossing of this item. A Derby Silver Company Art Nouveau floral bread or roll tray from the 1890s. This high quality, high relief 14 x 7-1/2" silver plated serving tray is quite deep to hold bread and it has what appears to be lily flowers. This company (1872-98) was later taken over by International Silver. It is stamped B DERBY SILVER Co. An amber daisy and button pickle cruet with stand and tongs from the 1880 1900 era. The pressed glass liner is 5" tall and the 11-1/4" tall stand has decorated feet and a floral arched handle and the matching tongs have claw feet. The lid of the cruet has a perching bird, and the stand is marked SILVERPLATED MADE IN CANADA on the underside rim. This item is in superb near mint condition with no chips, cracks, dents, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs whatsoever - the plating is completely intact with no wear or loss at all. There are some engraved identification markings on the underside of the stand from a previous owner. An Unger Bros. 4 piece sterling silver brush, mirror and box dresser set from the 1890s. This fancy repousse sets consists of the 9-3/8 x 5" hand mirror with beveled glass, the 9 x 2-3/4" natural bristle hair brush, the 2" across round lidded pomade, salve or rouge pot or box with a gilded interior and an associated (not Unger) 3-5/8 x 1-1/8" natural bristle clothes or dress brush. Three pieces feature the Unger Brothers mark and STERLING 925 FINE and the small brush is marked STERLING 925/1000 8164. This set is in very good condition with no chips, cracks, bends, corrosion, damage or repairs; the large and small brushes have a minor bit of edge denting and the mirror has some moderate edge denting. A set for 12 mother of pearl handle silver plated fish knives and forks from the 1897-1900 era. This 24 piece set consists of the 7-7/8" fish knives and the 6-3/4" forks. Each piece has a mother of pearl handle with excellent lustre and green and pink flash. The ferrules are unmarked and nicely embossed (they may be silver - we haven't tested them and it wasn't required to mark small, light items). The silver plated fittings (knife blades and forks) have ornate and attractive hand engraving and they have the maker's mark for Harrison Fisher of Sheffield, England (established 1897, this mark in use from 1897-1900). We don't have a box for this set however they will be shipped in a long cloth flatware wrap with pouches for each piece. A Colossus or Lacy Spiral Burlington Glass clear EAPG water goblet from the 1880s. This 6-1/2" tall antique pressed glass item was made by the Burlington Glass Works of Hamilton, Ontario, Canada (1874-97) (and possibly produced by other companies). It is a beautiful clear white with very crisp detail. It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, losses, damage or repairs however there is a tiny burst bubble under the goblet base edge from the manufacture of this goblet. A W.E. Welding Brantford Ontario 4 gallon eared stoneware crock with blue floral decoration 1873-94. This attractive, antique Canadian pottery crock measures 12" tall and 11-1/2" across, it has two ear handles and attractive blue tulips decoration with blue splash over the impressed Welding markings. Welding was in business with W.W. Belding in Brantford (1867-72) and went solo in 1873 after their factory burnt down in 1872. The glaze on this pickle or food storage crock is an attractive deep tan with minor dark kiln shadowing, the floral decoration is only slightly blistered and intact and the interior is intact. It is in very good condition with no damage or repairs other than a base chip to the left of the tulips and a tight, inconspicuous hairline on the backside top rim between the ear handles and a tight, slightly branched surface impact crack beside the decoration which doesn't penetrate to the interior. An antique 19th century hand painted porcelain cat figurine. This figure is probably Austrian or German and it is of heavy porcelain. It is very well painted and it measures 4-1/4" tall. It is unsigned and quite colourful with pink, black, green, orange, blue and gold. An Early American Pressed or Pattern Glass miniature 2-5/8" tall creamer in the Drum pattern, issued in the 1890s by Bryce Higbee & Co., Pittsburgh.
