An Art Deco Lightolier luster Czech glass shade ceiling lamp from the 1920s. This scarce beauty has a paneled Czechoslovakian pale yellow lustre glass shade with floral screened designs in blue, yellow and orange. The shade is stamped LIGHTOLIER and it measures 8-1/8" across the open bottom and 9-1/4" in total across. The top opening is 6-3/4" and this lamp retains its original cream-painted metal mount with three metal spokes with finger screws. The socket assembly is gilded and this lamp has the original chain, mounting nut and central threaded core; it has been recently rewired and it works and shows beautifully. Lightolier was the brand name for lamps made by Bernhard Blitzer Gas and Appliance Co. of Brooklyn, New York who started out in the 1800s before changing to Lightolier early in the century. This classy addition to your home decor is in excellent condition with no cracks, dents, bends, corrosion, damage or repairs other than a few very small shallow flakes to the unfinished edge of the shade's inside top rim from mounting to the bracket. All condition issues are noted. All items are thoroughly and conservatively graded and all condition issues are noted; all items are vintage or antique and may have slight signs of gentle use. A Heisey Octagon 1229 black glass footed fruit bowl with coralene butterflies from the 1920s. This elegant glass footed bowl features lush gold trim and hand painted gold decoration along with fine blue, pink and white coralene butterflies and lily of the valley hand painted decoration. This fruit bowl or table centerpiece bowl measures 11 x 9" (including the handles) and it is an unmarked Heisey Octagon 1229 blank. We haven't seen another example of this decoration or of this black colour and it is possible that it was a special order or line made exclusively for a major retailer at the time (we have found no other examples of the blank in black glass). This rarity is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, damage or repairs other than a bit of minor wear on the heavily gold painted handles and a small drip inside the bowl from a liquid that left a 1/4" spot of fogging on the surface of the glass. All items are thoroughly and conservatively graded and all condition issues are noted; all items are vintage or antique and may have slight signs of gentle use. Expedited tracked and insured parcel shipping to the U.S. starts at $23 (other spots may vary, air is higher). Items paid with a credit card will be shipped to confirmed addresses only. All Items : Antiques : Decorative Art : Glass : Pre 1910 item #1090672 (stock #6537)
A pair of so-called Whimsey glass vases c1900. Glass whimseys, or end-of-day glass, were made at the end of the day's glass production by glassmakers using leftover glass; these items were usually taken home and given as gifts. Many forms were produced, including glass canes, figurines and artistic objects. This pair is made of amber and citrene coloured glass with white highlights and ribbon decoration. They are unsigned and the amber vase has a hook so it can be hung on a wall; the other sits on a table. The hanging vase measures 6-7/8" from top to bottom and the yellowish table vase is 4-1/2" from the edge of the trumpet to the edge of the stem. This pair is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, losses, damage or repairs. All items are thoroughly and conservatively graded and all condition issues are noted; all items are vintage or antique and may have slight signs of gentle use. All Items : Antiques : Decorative Art : Glass : Bohemian : Pre 1910 item #1232801 (stock #7014)
A superb and top quality example of Austro-Hungarian glassmaking at its finest. This is a set of six shell shaped cranberry glass nut dishes c1900 with crisp molding and lush encrusted gold decoration. Attributed to Moser, this set is certainly of the expected quality but we can't definitively confirm this. The set consists of the deep 9-1/2" long and 7-1/8" wide master nut bowl as well as five matching 4-1/2" long and 3-3/8" wide individual nut bowls. The allover hand applied gold decoration is superb and it appears on the outer surfaces as well as on the interior. We have seen only a couple of examples of the smaller dishes only, never the full size master nut dish, and seldom in cranberry and rarely with such ornate decoration. A true prize for any serious collection of Moser or European art glass. This unsigned set appears unused, even after 110 years, and it is in stellar original condition with no cracks, losses, damage or repairs other than a 1/16" across flake to the edge of one of the individual dish's edges and the expected minor irregularities expected on hand-painted and hand-finished art glass. All items are thoroughly and conservatively graded and all condition issues are noted; all items are vintage or antique and may have slight signs of gentle use. Expedited tracked and insured parcel shipping to the U.S. starts at $40 (other spots may vary, air is higher). Items paid with a credit card will be shipped to confirmed addresses only. We do ship internationally. All of our prices are in $US. PLEASE NOTE: We DO NOT accept PayPal, only VISA and MASTERCARD.

The colour is a pale pastel blue/grey with subtle translucence, and this pair is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, repairs or damage other than the loss of one moonstone jewel and some minor losses to the gold on the upper edges. All items are thoroughly and conservatively graded and all condition issues are noted; all items are vintage or antique and may have slight signs of gentle use.
