A Norway sterling silver and blue enamel brooch circa 1960s by Einar Modahl of Oslo. This attractive vintage modern 2-1/8" x 1-5/8" pin is a lovely royal hue. This Norwegian abstract double leaf is marked 925 S with the Einar Modahl maker's mark and an N in a square and STERLING NORWAY. The light colour or mauvish spots are artifacts of the photography and light reflections, the enamel is smooth and even with no damage. It has a modified catch which is now a c-clasp (no locking wheel), and it weighs 11.2 grams. A jeweler could add a locking wheel back to clasp. A set of 3 sterling silver ducks scatter pins from the 1930s-40s. This charming vintage set of three handmade gilt sterling silver duck scatter or sweater pins have safety catches and they measure from 1-1/2" across to 1-1/4" x 1-1/8" across. They are stamped HANDMADE STERLING on the backs, no other marks, and the gilding that remains has a rose gold colour, which was very popular in the 1930s -early 1940s. The bodies and wings are layered and slightly repousse, giving the pins a nice lift and depth, and they are rather charming and slightly comical. This set is in very good condition with no dents, bends, corrosion, damage or repairs other than the loss of most of the original gilding, traces of which remain on the fronts of the pins.
