This retro brooch with three claw-set round brilliant cut genuine diamonds circa 1950s is well-made; it measures 2-1/8" x 1-1/4" pin is stamped 18 K and BIRKS. It has a safety catch, and it weighs 9.9 grams. The diamonds measure approximately 6 points in total - they are sparkling clear and white (VS, E-F colour). A striking vintage Mexican sterling pendant set with a mixture of inlaid lapis and malachite, with a large cabochon cut tiger eye gem in the centre c1950-60. Two of the dangling pendants are also inlaid with lapis and malachite, and the centre dangle is solid silver. The pendant alone measures 3-3/4" x 2-1/8", and weighs 26.2 grams. It is stamped STERLING 925 with the eagle mark with a 2 in the centre, and the initials MR. There was a silversmith named Melecio Rodriguez who worked at the Rancho Alegre and for Margot de Taxco, but I can't verify if this is his work or not. It comes with a 18-1/2" sterling heavy link chain (weighs 16.7 grams, not Mexican manufacture). It is in very good condition, but please note than there is 1/8" piece missing from the second inlaid drop of the pendant. Otherwise it is in lovely condition, no breaks, wear, repairs or damage. This genuine period survivor measures 3" x 2-7/8" across the interior and the snake's heads are 5/16" across and both have cobalt blue glass rhinestone eyes. The body is black celluloid with an applied clear yellow layer over a bed of embedded sparkly metallic confetti. This Egyptian style figural bracelet is in mostly excellent condition with no chips, cracks, losses, damage or repairs other than some groove striations/lines of the yellow section from the black and the usual fine patina of scratches from use, There are a couple of superficial stress cracks in the yellow section as well.
