This size 6 ring features three seed pearls on each side of the natural garnet and it has an Ionic column design on the shoulders and shank and it is 1/4" wide across the top of the ring. It weighs 3.1 grams and it is stamped with the hallmarks and a maker's mark T&S (probably W.H. Tandy & Sons (1896-1957). It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, dents, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs other than a line from an old resizing and a slight tilt to the garnet which has been reset in the past. An Edwardian 14k yellow gold sunburst diamond and seed pearls ring circa 1900 1910. This unusual antique ring of genuine seed pearls and a genuine diamond is in the sunburst or starburst shape popular with lavalieres at the time, it was more likely a representation of a daisy or some other flower. The sunburst has 10 petals with genuine seed pearls and it has a central claw-set 8 point (measured by flat stone gauge) genuine antique European cut diamond; the shank is stamped 14K with a JIC maker's mark. I have never seen this ring before in 38 years in antiques. It is possible that this piece was produced at a slightly later date, but the ring shank is an appropriate one for the period, and the setting is properly mounted and appears original. This ring weighs 6.3 grams, and it is in very good condition with no chips, cracks, dents, bends, corrosion, losses or damage other than some glue residue on a couple of reset pearls (an old repair, and is restorable). The pearls have some colour variation, which is not unusual.
