acob Grimminger sterling silver julep cups or flat goblets circa 1910 1920. These hand hammered tumblers are 3-1/4" in height, made and marked by Jacob Grimminger of Gmund, Germany (established 1895). Being sterling rather than 800 silver, these cups were most likely made for export and they have an Arts and Crafts hammered finish consistent with cups of this period. They weigh from 86.8 to 92.6 grams. They are in excellent condition with no dents, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs. There are three in stock. All condition issues are noted. This vintage 3" high cup and matching 5-5/8" saucer features a dusty pink ground on the saucer and the outside of the cup, which has a white interior with an oil-puddle like multicolour luster. The highlight is a colourful fruit still life on the saucer and small fruit arrays inside the cup. It has gold trim, three gold painted feet and gold sprigs. This well-made and decorative 4-1/4 x 3-1/4" smoking accessory has black patination and inlaid copper both outside and inside the front cover. It also has black patination and hand incising and tooling on both sides and surfaces. The view is a copper bridge over a stream with mountains and trees in the background. It has a pushbutton clasp, a metal cigarette retaining strap and a signature on the back cover which may be a maker's mark or a description of the scene. It has the Japanese rising sun silver mark with STERLING on the inside and it weighs 109.7 grams. A signed Kanyengeh 6 Nations large pottery vase signed Dee 1977. This Native Canadian pottery vase has the famous sculpted exterior and brown glaze with the turquoise blue interior. A lake boat solid bronze ship bell from 1900-20. This 8-1/4" diameter unsigned bell was from a Great Lakes ship or boat (possibly a ferry) and it retains its original eye and rod clapper with a loop for a rope pull. A Loetz Crete Papillon 7" Czech art glass green vase 1890 1900. This period vase has the famous Papillon finish in green (Crete) and this line was introduced in 1898. It has a tapered 3-1/8" across girdle and 2-5/8" base. It is in very good condition with no cracks, wear or repairs however there is a 1/4" rim chip mostly affecting the inside of the rim with minimal impact to the outside - this vase can be ground down to eliminate the chip if you are so inclined. A massive Japanese 19thC bronze jardiniere or plant holder with raised or bas-relief detail. This handsome antique signed Japanese bronze work stands 13-1/2" tall and it measures 11-1/2" across the opening. This is a large example of a classic bowl design, and it has a nice patination (appears somewhat lightened in our photographs to show detail). It features perching and flying birds and floral branches, a decorated collar with bat designs (a sign of luck and prosperity) and incised decoration. It has an applied signature planchet on the bottom, which has not yet been translated. It has some patina inside from use. It is in otherwise excellent condition with no dents, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs except for a minor bend on the foot-rim. A Napco Japan figural anthropomorphic mustard salt pepper cruet set 1950s 1960s. This decorative and whimsical set consists of the teapot shaped 3 piece mustard pot (lid, spoon and base), the apple or peach shaped salt shaker and the cup or creamer shaped pepper shaker. The two shakers both have their original rubber stoppers (now a bit vitrified and crumbly) and the mustard's spoon is plastic and marked JAPAN. A pair of Gorham 1190 sterling silver convertible 11-1/4" candlesticks with 3 pieces. These weighted candlesticks include the weighted 4-3/4" bases which act as short candlesticks, the 2-7/8" candle holder bell which can mount to the bases or on top of the 4-1/8" conical taper which can also screw into the base. When all pieces are mounted these fine table decorations are 11-1/4" tall. They have the Gorham marks on the bottom and they are probably from the 1950s or 1970s.
