This graduated beauty features clear Murano glass ball beads with copious gold highlights and turquoise and green glass jewelling. Each bead has a turquoise glass spacer and this necklace has a springring clasp. A scarce antique period sterling silver filigree posey holder or tussie mussie c1900. Late Victorian or early Edwardian period posey holders, popularly known as tussie mussies in the UK, were used to hold floral bridal bouquets. This ornate but delicate looking 3" long example has a loop for the (now missing) chain which would have terminated in a heavy straight pin which went through the bottom section of the posey to keep it in place. Sometimes the chains were double ended, and the second end had a finger loop This rare solid silver posy holder weighs 25.8 grams. It is unmarked, but had been tested. An English late Victorian mother of pearl handle fish set for six in fitted case 1890 1900. This set includes six 6-1/2" fish forks and six 7-3/8" scimitar-shaped fish knives. Each piece has a sterling silver patterned ferrule with silver plated blades and colourful genuine mother-of-pearl handles. The purple satin and velvet interior of the box has fitted compartments with locking brass fittings. An Art Nouveau sterling daisy flower purse handle chain from the 1900 era. This 16-3/8" chain consists of oval daisy flower cast sterling silver links which are 3/8" wide. Originally on a late Victorian purse, this chain has two large loop for mounting but it could easily have a clasp added for use as a necklace (or a doubled bracelet). An antique sterling silver treasure chest design trinket box, fully hallmarked for London, England 1904. This English Arts and Crafts period 3-3/4" x 1-1/2" hinged box was made by Corke Bros. & Co. It has hand hammered panels with fleur-de-lis decoration and long hinges, and it resembles a treasure or pirate chest. It has a chained pin which inserts into a loop with hasp and a tooled and mounted escutcheon on the top. The interior is gilded, and this lovely small jewel or table tobacco snuff box weighs 80.4 grams. This miniature sterling chest has no tobacco odour, but is the correct size for a table snuff box, and such boxes were usually gilded inside to prevent corrosion. It is in excellent condition with no dents, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs other than the replacement of the hasp, which had broken off and has been resoldered/replaced. A Royal Bayreuth sheep in meadow wall plaque from the 1900 1910 era. This attractive handpainted over transfer 9-5/8" porcelain wall plaque (or cabinet plate) depicts 5 sheep in a pasture. An 800 silver Art Nouveau floral German napkin ring circa 1900. This high style, high relief table decor item measures 1-1/2" wide and 1-7/8" across the interior. The beautiful design goes around the outside and it has a fancy Gothic B monogram as well as a full set of hallmarks from Germany. It also has the maker's mark for Franz Mosgau of Berlin (est. 1807) and this item dates to the 1895-1900 era. It is in very good condition with a small dent/rim split at the top rim of the napkin ring which is at the seam where the silver was soldered into a ring. It has various small and shallow dents and bends most of which are most likely from the hand forming and embossing of this item. A sterling silver nutmeg grater circa 1890s. It may actually be older. This American antique 1-3/4" x 1-3/8" egg shaped sterling grater has the original interior gilt rasp and interior gilding. Nutmeg was an expensive imported spice when first introduced to Europe and to North America, and it became enormously popular as a condiment. A sterling silver nutmeg grater was a sign of prosperity, as well as indicating a great fondness for the spice, of which aficionados would grate to their own taste when sitting down to eat. Not easy to find them anymore. This antique example features fine ornate leaf hand engraving and a dedication saying Z.S.J. to M.M.J. 25th. Dec 1893. A fine Christmas gift indeed. It is stamped STERLING along the gilt inner rim, the gilding on the interior and rasp is a rich gold in colour and intact. A Queen Victoria Diamond Jubilee china teapot with enamel decoration circa 1897. This scarce royalty commemorative antique teapot celebrates the Diamond Jubilee of the reign of Queen Victoria. This black glaze Jackfield style English teapot measures 9-1/4" across the handle and spout and it stands 7" tall; it has a gold coloured stencil of Victoria on one side and the commemorative legend on the other. There are also thistles, roses and shamrocks and there are hand applied enamels in orange, white and blue. It is stamped in gold MADE IN ENGLAND 936 F on the bottom and this item is in very good condition with no chips, cracks, staining, losses, repairs or damage other than some allover crazing to the black glaze showing white in a few places and grey in most (see pictures); the lid is uncrazed. A Gorham sterling silver coffee pot dated 1899. This 7-3/4" tall tableware serving piece is stamped with the Gorham lion/anchor/G STERLING mark with 1 3/4 PINT and it has the number 14 and the Gorham year cipher for 1899. It weighs 488 grams and it is in very good condition with no dents, bends, corrosion or damage. It has a fancy engraved RLA (or RSA) monogram and the handle is a bit wobbly and it has a couple of replaced handle pinions (in brass) and a bit of cracking to the handle thermal spacers. A Victorian Aesthetic butterflies gilt basket with a cranberry glass bowl liner dated 1869. This antique serving piece is truly superb, from the immaculately detailed gilded butterfly basket with a swing handle to the original cranberry glass bowl with a polished base. The three feet have fine hand engraving and most unusually each of the seven butterflies has the old English diamond registry mark incorporated into the design, not added or stamped on later. Although unsigned this is a work of superb craftsmanship and the registry number dates the design to 1869. It measures 4-1/2" across and it stands 5-3/4" tall with the handle upright. It is in excellent condition with no dents, bends, losses, damage or repairs other than a few small areas of darkening to the gilding and a couple of very tiny edge nicks to the liner. It may have been regilded at some point, although not necessarily so. A fine piece for your shelf or table. A set for 12 mother of pearl handle silver plated fish knives and forks from the 1897-1900 era. This 24 piece set consists of the 7-7/8" fish knives and the 6-3/4" forks. Each piece has a mother of pearl handle with excellent lustre and green and pink flash. The ferrules are unmarked and nicely embossed (they may be silver - we haven't tested them and it wasn't required to mark small, light items). The silver plated fittings (knife blades and forks) have ornate and attractive hand engraving and they have the maker's mark for Harrison Fisher of Sheffield, England (established 1897, this mark in use from 1897-1900). We don't have a box for this set however they will be shipped in a long cloth flatware wrap with pouches for each piece. A scarce 19th century ironstone 6-3/8" plate in the scarce Canadian pattern retailed and signed by F.T. Thomas, Quebec, Canada. This brown transfer plate features a view of Montmorency Fall Winter View and it has the pattern's beaver, vine and flower border.
