These English tableware items have an unusual colourway, with turquoise, red and a luster border. Some pieces are stamped CLOVIS 9030 and most have year stamps indicating a manufacturing date in the early 1870s. All items are currently in stock unless marked SOLD. These items are in excellent original condition with no chips, cracks, losses, damage or repairs unless noted; most pieces have very fine, barely noticeable overall crazing. A quality late 19thC 750 silver jug with baronial crests by J Wagner and Sohn ( Son ) Germany. This antique 5-1/4" tall cream pitcher has a wrythen or twisted groove style and a thumb rest as well as classic hoof shape feet. It is stamped J. WAGNER & SOHN 750 M, it weighs 195 grams, and it has two finely engraved baronial heraldic crests engraved on one side indicating that it was probably originally a wedding present. This item is in excellent antique condition with no dents, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs. An early magenta transfer cup and saucer from the 1830s-1850s. This nice early example of transferware is a 2-3/8" high footed cup and matching 6" saucer with a fine magenta (purple/red) colour floral transfer with handpainted highlights. It has a painted 2/441 pattern mark and a formed fluted column design. The saucer is deep for drinking from (an 18th and 19th century custom) and it is typical for the era. This attractive item is in very good original condition with no cracks, crazing, losses, damage or repairs other than a small rim chip on the bottom of the saucer as well as some barely noticeable areas of glaze wear on two flowers and one flute on the cup (see enlargement). A Victorian bisque double shell young boy figural mantle vase from the late 1800s. This 5-1/4" tall figurine is fully hand painted and of top quality - quite like the fineness of Schafer & Vater. It consists of a young boy with a hat seated between two shells. The vase is in a nice greenish/blue colour and it has lots of gold jewelling. It is unsigned except for a painted 74 and a faint impressed underglaze 524 (we think). A signed Christopher Dresser Linthorpe pottery plate circa 1880. This superb and rare Linthorpe high relief 8" English pottery plate features a naturalistic branch with leaves with a rustic white/yellow glaze on the front and no glazing on the back. It is stamped LINTHORPE Ch. Dresser HT on the back; Dresser was the designer for this factory c1879-89 and Henry Tooth was the manager prior to 1883, making the date of manufacture 1879-83. This item is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, crazing, losses, damage or repairs, with only the slightest touches of wear to the glaze on the highest points (barely noticeable). 6 Victorian humorous comical miniature 4-1/4" plates from 1860-80 with relief decoration. These plates have an unidentified shield impressed mark, and the set consists of the following scenes:
- "Satisfaction" (duelling scene, 2 in stock, both with staining and crazing)

A 19thC Farrar Batiscan Quebec 4 gallon handled wine jug or crock, for the Marchand & Co spice, wine and liquor merchant. This 18-3/4" tall handled salt glazed stoneware jug still has the cork and it is completely hand thrown. It has a blue floral design identical with other known Farrar examples and it has a blue-wiped impressed legend stating "MARCHAND & CO MARCHANDS EPCIERES VINS ET LIQUEURS BATISCAN 4". Moses and Ebenezer Farrar were from Vermont, and they established one of the earliest stoneware potteries in Canada around 1840. Their first pottery was in St Johns Quebec, and later in Iberville Quebec. Their merchant crocks were usually not signed (by preference of the merchant, who was advertising their own goods). They closed somewhere around 1927, after the death of Ebenezer's son Georg H Farrar ((source: Early Canadian Pottery, Donald Webster, 1971). It is in very good condition with no cracks, losses, damage or repairs other than some edge chips near the mouth and some original kiln burning to the blue design. A group of four hand painted German porcelain cups and saucers by Helena Wolfsohn c1870s-80s. Each has fine floral decoration with garlands and gold trim and highlights, both inside and out. Each has a blue ground and all have the blue Wolfsohn backstamp (crowned D over Hand painted Dresden Saxony). One has "Handgemalt" instead of handpainted, and all have the gold rose overstamp. The cups stand 2" high and the saucers are 5-7/8" across, and each saucer also is stamped with a retailer stamp. A vintage Mt. Washington Quilted Diamonds huge rose bowl. This true vintage Victorian cased glass rose bowl is in attractive aqua blue and it dates around 1890. This 5-1/4" high and 6-1/4" across crimped edge posey vase is in the satin finish Quilted Diamonds pattern, produced by Mt. Washington glass. This IS NOT a reproduction, but the real thing, as can be seen in our pictures, which show the soft irridescent design. An English polychrome blue & white transfer milk jug circa 1850. This 19th century decorative 5-3/4" tall jug measures 6-1/2" from spout to handle, and it has a Chinese scene design. The colours are green, teal, orange and yellow and the design is continued on the inside upper rim and spout. An attractive 19thC American (or Canadian) pattern or pressed glass stoppered decanter with what appears to be an double leaf motif (one over the other) not dissimilar to a maple leaf. This 9-1/2" tall (with stopper) blown-mould decanter retains its original stopper; the detail and relief are sharp and well defined, and this unusual piece, whose maker and pattern unknown to us, is in excellent original condition with no cracks, losses, damage or repairs other than some chips to the bottom of the stopper (see image). We would be happy to add the name of the pattern if any knowledgeable glass person would care to drop us an email. A 7-1/2" German or Austrian porcelain hand painted figurine of a bugler. This mid to late 19th century figure features fine hand painting with gold, orange, blue, tan and realistic flesh colours; it is in a style similar to Heubach figures, but many European factories of this period were producing such figures, and it has a shiny rather than matte glaze. It is unsigned except for a painted XX, and it is in very good original condition with no chips, crazing, losses, damage or repairs other than a tight crack on the base at the back and some gilt wear. There are original glazed firing cracks at the elbows, right front leg and hat at the thigh, but these are original to the manufacture of the piece, not later damage. A pair of English Imari lustre jugs from the 1830s. This decorative unmarked pair of early to mid 19thC English jugs or pitchers is in the Imari colours with pink Sunderland luster. The largest is 8" tall and the smaller is 7"; both have embossed decoration and are hand painted. These jugs are in excellent condition with no cracks, losses, damage or repairs except for some minor glaze flakes and craze lines on the upper rim of the larger jug, some allover crazing on the smaller jug, a couple of straight-line craze lines on the smaller one that don't appear on the external side of the piece, and some very minor spots of wear to the decoration. A 19thC Bohemian red glass and enamel vase. This late Victorian era red or ruby flash 7-1/4" tall lobed vase features clear panels with acid etching with hand applied blue, orange and green enamel painting as well as traces of gold trim on the top edge. A Royal Worcester 6-1/4" face or mask jug with gold made in 1897. This exquisitely detailed jug has superb hand applied gold decoration in the form of wild daisies with yellow and reddish centers along with wild grasses. The gold is thickly applied with ridges and jewelling and the ornate handle is gold as well. The mask or face on the spout is crisp and detailed and this jug has the Grainger Royal Worcester China Works mark with the G year code for 1897. A pair of antique Dutch china wedding bowls circa 1865. This nice set of wedding bowls dates to 1865 and they were made to commemmorate the wedding of Dirk Hoogedorn to Agije Brink on April 30, 1865. These 4-3/8" diameter and 2-1/4" tall bowls we given to the guests as a remembrance of the wedding. They are finely hand-decorated with rich gilt lettering and decoration, and they are unmarked. An attractive 19th century Victorian art glass basket. This unsigned 8-3/4" high quality basket features a ruffled-edge custard glass body with clear cranberry glass edging; the clear naturalistic glass handles resemble crossed branches (one has two spurs). A Victorian English silver plated biscuit caddy or barrel with a carved finial from the 1880s. This hand engraved silver plated Victorian English piece stands 7-3/8" tall to the top of the hand-carved bone finial, and the attached base measures 7-7/8" x 6". A 19th c. hand painted toleware large tray. This decorative, vintage and stunning handpainted and signed large toleware display or serving tray dates to around 1860. This 24-3/8 x 19-3/4" painted metal tray features a large central basket of colourful and varied flowers; it has a floreate stepped edge and the G. J. Rudolph artist's signature. We have been unable to get any information on this artist, however the painting is superb. This all-original piece has slight and attractive alligatoring, and it is in superb original condition with no scrapes, dents, monograms, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs other than a few small spots of gilding loss around the rim. A Victorian silver plate rolltop butter dish or server in the Aesthetic style from the 1880s. This antique beauty was made by Meriden and it has all of the hallmarks of quality and Victorian style and mechanical complexity. It has a pedestal base, a handle with floral decoration, high relief borders and a roll top with a pressed floral design. The rolling lid rests on two pins secured with a chained pinion and there are mounts on each side for a pair of butter knives. This steampunk item remains in reasonable condition with a few issues - one knife rest is missing (3 are intact), one side of one mounting bracket for the retaining pins is broken off, there is some pitting on the interior where a (now missing) ice liner would have been and there is a bit of plating loss on a few areas. The rolltop is functional and this would make a great decor item or table centerpiece (and a great "what is it?" for your next dinner party). A decorated 19thC copper lustre child's cann or mug. This vintage mid-19th century 2-1/2" high decorated copper luster mug features a relief beaded rim, lovely metallic copper luster, a blue band with leaf decoration and a white interior with a pink lustre interior rim. It is unmarked and it has a pink lustre brush wipe on the interior, and it is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, losses, damage or repairs other than an overglazed flat spot on the bottom rim and some craze lines on the interior bottom only. the luster is a consistent deep rich copper colour from top to bottom, unlike in our photos which show reflection from the towel. An Edwardian 15k Mother of Pearl and rubies button set in box 1900. These antique shirt or vest mother-of-pearl buttons have bezel set genuine ruby centers and 15k button attachment loops (unmarked but tested). It comes in the original box or case. This set consists of the 5-1/4 long leather-covered box containing six 15k gold and mother-of-pearl buttons plus six 15k gold spiral button attachment loops (unmarked but tested). A pair of early Staffordshire figurines of eagles on vermicular or marble painted bases from 1820-1850. These well modelled heavily gilded 19thC English earthenware eagles are 7-3/4" tall. Both have tilted heads and back-stretched wings. They have purple, yellow and orange marble-like painting on the simple rectangular shape bases. The mustard yellow rocky perches have a blue flower. They not signed with a manufacturer's stamp, unfortunately fairly common with Staffordshire figures. They are in very good, but not undamaged condition. One is undamaged with only a firing crack, which is original to the manufacture of the figurines (see image), and the other has had the lower portion of one wing and the head re-glued. Some wear to the gilding. The breaks and repair are quite clean and it could be restored professionally. The only pair of Staffordshire eagles I have owned in over 40 years selling antiques. It has a repeating somewhat Art Nouveau floral motif, the flowers look a bit like poppies or anemones, all in blue transferware with occasional splashes of gold. A pair of German 800 silver viande serving forks in the original box. This elegant and high quality pair of 800 silver German 8" viande or meat serving forks are in their original fitted box and they date to the 1900 1910 era. These forks are stamped 800 with the crown and eagle mark (Frankfurt, pre-1888), most likely produced by Bruckmann and Sohne (1805-1973). The forks are an interesting combiation of elegant Neoclassic revival design paired with the elements of Jugendstil - note the graceful and simple fork shape and crisp design to the ends of the handle. The 9" x 3-1/2" box is a tan coloured watered silk with a Greek key border and bronze coloured fittings with a patterned silk interior lid and cotton fitted platform with twisted cord trim. A Howard Sterling Co. 4 piece brush and mirror set from the 1890s. This high relief, decorative personal grooming set consists of the 10 x 5" hand mirror with beveled glass, the 9-1/4 x 3" hair brush, the 5-5/8 x 1-3/4" small clothes or shoulder brush and the 7 x 2-1/2" large clothes brush. A Canton enamel squash blossom jewel or trinket box from the 1880s 1890s. This lovely and large Chinese enamel on metal box measures 4-1/2 x 3-1/2" and it stands 2-3/4" high on its foot rim. A Barbour Silver Co. silver plated tilt kettle, stand and associated burner from the 1890s. It has a simple, elegant design and it stands 13" tall from the top of the ebony wood handle to the bottom of the stand's ball feet. The base is unsigned, the kettle is stamped BARBOUR SILVER CO. NICKEL SILVER 4002 (operating from 1892-98) and the associated burner has the Meriden stamp. It is in very good condition with no chips, cracks, dents, bends or corrosion, however the handle supports have been resoldered to the kettle, the kettle and stand appear to have been replated and the flame smothering cap on the burner has broken off and is lost (but it can be repaired or the burner can be replaced with a similarly sized one). A rare, early English flow blue covered entree or casserole dish c1860. This serving piece stands 7" high with the lid, and it measures 11-1/4" x 10-1/2". It has a floral style motif, and it has a pseudo Chinese mark, minor variants of which were used by Charles Meigh (1835-49), Charles Meigh & Son (1851-61) and also Job Meigh (c1805-34), all of Hanley, Staffordshire; we feel it dates c1850-60 but it could be of earlier manufacture. This item is in excellent original condition with no chips, losses, damage or repairs other than a tight 2-1/2" hairline crack on the lid and some scattered craze lines on the top and bottom. Majolica grape and vine pitcher with a pewter lid with a leaf motif, most likely for serving wine outdoors circa 1880s. It is 8-1/2" tall and hand painted in brown, blue and green colors. It is unmarked except for what looks like a 70 painted onto the bottom. Majolica is an antique form of pottery, with a great revival of interest in the 19thC. This item is in excellent condition for its age and use, with no chips, cracks, dents, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs other than some overall crazing and two burst glaze bubbles (one on the handle and one on the side) as well as the expected manufacturing artifacts seen on vintage majolica.
