An ornate Victorian SP ink stand with ink pot, drawer and pen rest 1860. A wonderful mid-Victorian silverplated ink stand with a Feb. 20, 1860 registration date. This 11-1/2 x 7-1/2" stand features a pottery inkwell in a domed lidded brass holder mounted on the deck, which also has a brass pen rest. Besides the ornate hand-engraving, it also has a copper military button mounted with a screw and bolt. The shoulders have a high relief vine and berries design and it has scroll feet. It has a sliding drawer with pen and paper compartments as well, and it has the British registration key and the PP&S maker's mark for Padley, Parking & Standforth of Sheffield, England (operating from 1855-80). This vintage (unmarked) 9-5/8" tall enamelled and painted wine carafe and matching 6-3/4" bottle slide or underplate is hand-finished with white enamel jewelling and green painting in the aesthetic style (popular in the 1870s and 1880s). A pair of antique Dutch china wedding bowls circa 1865. This nice set of wedding bowls dates to 1865 and they were made to commemmorate the wedding of Dirk Hoogedorn to Agije Brink on April 30, 1865. These 4-3/8" diameter and 2-1/4" tall bowls we given to the guests as a remembrance of the wedding. They are finely hand-decorated with rich gilt lettering and decoration, and they are unmarked. An early 19thC blue saltglaze pitcher. This high relief early to mid-19th century 6-1/8" tall salt glazed stoneware pitcher or jug has an allegorical scene with grapes and vines; it is unsigned and it has a nice medium blue colour. This item is in very good condition with no cracks, crazing, losses, damage or repairs other than a firing crack around the bottom of the handle (original to the firing), a chip on the upper rim (with glaze infill, possibly later) and a barely visible shallow underglaze star crack on the bottom which doesn't interrupt the glaze or go through to the interior. An Ironstone tea or tobacco leaf teapot and 8 petit four plates 1860s. A matching English ironstone 8-3/8" tall teapot and eight 4-5/8" petit four plates, all with a tea or tobacco leaf variant in gold with gold trim. The teapot has some relief design on the feet and near the top, and the petit four plates have twelve sides. A matching pair of American coin silver 3-3/4" master salt spoons, made and stamped with the Albert Coles hallmarks (in business 1835-75). It has a compartment on the back for containing hair, and it weighs 3.2 grams. This expertly decorated Meiji period 19th century 4-3/8" across and 1-7/8" tall Japanese Satsuma bowl features a cobalt blue ground with lush gold highlights inside and out. The interior has a well-painted Geisha scene in an assortment of colours. A decorated 19thC copper lustre child's cann or mug. This vintage mid-19th century 2-1/2" high decorated copper luster mug features a relief beaded rim, lovely metallic copper luster, a blue band with leaf decoration and a white interior with a pink lustre interior rim. It is unmarked and it has a pink lustre brush wipe on the interior, and it is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, losses, damage or repairs other than an overglazed flat spot on the bottom rim and some craze lines on the interior bottom only. the luster is a consistent deep rich copper colour from top to bottom, unlike in our photos which show reflection from the towel. An evocative and well-painted framed 22-1/4" x 14-1/2" (sight size) English oil on canvas by Charles Cattermole (R.I., R.B.A., R.O.I. 1832–1900). Entitled "The Patrol's Return" on a mounted plaque on the 31-1/2" x 24" wood and plaster frame, this painting is signed CHAS CATTERMOLE on the lower right. The back has a Toronto gallery label from 1949 and the canvas is numbered 908 on the back. The image is clean with full colours and a glossy surface (and was most likely cleaned and revarnished in the not too distant past), and it is in excellent condition with no losses or damage to the canvas however there is moderate but noticeable plaster loss to the frame. Aubrey Beardsley The Yellow Book with 3 volumes available (priced each). This is a group of three of the famous English illustrated quarterly called The Yellow Book. This late 19th century series featured art, essays, discussions, poetry and criticism. They were 8-1/4 x 7" hardbacks in yellow and featured artistic cover illustrations as well as inserted plates, including illustrations by Aubrey Beardsley and others. Offered here is Volume 1 April 1894 Second Edition, with four Beardsley illustrations as well as the cover, 272 pages (excluding end advertisements and lists). Ballantyne Press, darkened spine, light soiling on covers, rounded corners, bruising and fraying to upper and lower spine, foxing/inscription inner covers. A 19th century Tunbridge Ware inlaid roses box. This 6 x 2" Tunbridge ware box has a central panel of inlaid small squares of wood arranged in a roses pattern. An extremely fine late 19th century natural shell cameo mounted in 12K yellow gold circa 1890. This large 2-1/8" x 1-3/4" cameo features a beautifully hand carved left-facing portrait of a lovely woman - her hair is shown with a most unusual wind-swept appearance, really graceful and remarkably realistic. A superb sterling silver repousse locket and engraved chain dated 1884. A fine example of sumptious Victorian sterling silver craftsmanship! This 2-1/4 x 1-5/8" sterling silver photo locket has a complex design and inset rose and green gold highlights on the central flower. It has a full set of Birmingham, England silver hallmarks on the undecorated side corresponding to the year 1884, and it has an I.H maker's mark. This pendant includes the ornately hand engraved 18-1/4 x 5/8" flat-link chain necklace, which has a large springring catch. This necklace weighs 53.4 grams, and it is in very good condition with no bends, corrosion, losses or damage except for some fine denting on the plain back, tool marks from the flattening of some dents and some identifying symbols on the interior. Please not that although this locket closes firmly it shows a slight gap on the edge when closed (probably from the dent removal work). A Victorian 14k yellow gold diamond ring with a nice quality antique round cut diamond circa 1890-1900. This antique size 7-1/2 or 7.5 ring features an approximately 18 point antique cut diamond in a sunken star setting (measured by gauge) with hand engraved shoulders. The ring is unmarked with the stamps having been removed when the ring band was re-hooped in the past but it tests as 14k, and the diamond has been tested also. It weighs 4.8 grams. A quality late 19thC 750 silver jug with baronial crests by J Wagner and Sohn ( Son ) Germany. This antique 5-1/4" tall cream pitcher has a wrythen or twisted groove style and a thumb rest as well as classic hoof shape feet. It is stamped J.
