A vintage c1910 top-hinged photo locket fob pendant in 14k yellow gold with an inset genuine antique European cut 12 point (by gauge) diamond. The back has an inscription stating: "PRESENTED TO T.A. EATON BY MEMBERS OF PASSENGER DEPT G.T.R. MARCH 1910", and it has a 14K gold mark. The famous Timothy Eaton family of Toronto were involved with the Grand Trunk Railroad at this time - it is most likely that T.A. Eaton was Thomas Alden Eaton, son of James Eaton and nephew of Timothy Eaton. He served and died in WWI and is buried in France. This locket has a photo of a military-clad man on the inside, it weighs 12.4 grams, and it is in excellent original condition with no bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs other than some shallow dents to each side. A Birks 14k man's 3 diamonds row ring in yellow and white gold circa 1950s. The size is approximately size 14, or may be a little larger, as our ring mandrel (ring sizer bar) doesn't go any higher. This vintage gentleman's diamond band is stamped BIRKS (indistinct), it tests as 14k gold and it has an independent gemologist appraisal for $1000 CAD from 2008. The additional marks may have been lost a sizing, as sometimes happens. The diamonds include: one brilliant cut diamond .22 pt diamond of I-1 clarity and F-G colour, two single cut diamonds of SI-2 tand I-1 clarity, I-J colour 0.05 pt total. The ring weighs 4.8 grams. Please note that the large diamond has a very tiny chip, as noted in appraisal, so this factor is included in the independent evaluation. The 1950s modernist design would make this a an affordable choice for a men's wedding/engagement ring. A 10k yellow gold man's opal ring from the 1940s. This size 9-1/2 ring features a natural rectangular opal with lots of green flash with an underlying orange fire. This ring measures 5/8 x 3/4" across the setting, it weighs 5.1 grams and it is stamped 10K with the maker's mark for I.B. Goodman Manufacturing Co., Inc. of Newport, Kentucky (1937-). This attractive ring is in very good condition with no dents, bends, corrosion, damage or repairs however there are some surface abrasions to the stone's face from use, a small chip to one corner and a flake on one other corner.
