A pair of Zig Zag confection tin lithograph premium miniature cups circa 1900. These scarce advertising miniature tin cups were given away as premiums in Zig Zag confections at the turn of the century. The first has floral decoration and the D.L. Clarke company logo and name, a box of the Zig Zag confection and the name of the Franz Euler Co. of New York, the manufacturers of the premiums and advertising items used by Clarke to promote their products. Zig Zag was a product similar to Cracker Jack, and these premiums were included in boxes of the product. The other cup depicts the confection box as well as a picture of Clarke's Zig Zag Pepsin gum. Each is lithographed with bright colours and each has interior and bottom gold toning. They are in very good condition with the following condition issues: 1)the first cup has a bent handle, some minor losses to the gold wash, and some moderate scrapes and dings to the decoration, however the graphics are strong and legible 2)the second (gum) cup has an intact handle and it is somewhat less scraped than the other. A pair of nice, historical advertising premiums. All items are thoroughly and conservatively graded and all condition issues are noted; all items are vintage or antique and may have slight signs of gentle use. Expedited tracked and insured parcel shipping to the U.S. starts at $21 (other spots may vary, air is higher). Items paid with a credit card will be shipped to confirmed addresses only. We do ship internationally. All of our prices are in $US. PLEASE NOTE: We DO NOT accept PayPal.

Certainly the finest and most decorative vintage chocolate box we've come across! This is a c1930s-40s (we think) paper wrapped box with an applied print of two kittens on the top. The textured paper wrap is wallpaper thick with lush gold highlights, and this box has a gold Urney applique. The original tied ribbon is also present on this 13-3/4 x 9-3/4" box, which has the original sticker on the bottom (CHOCOLATES - 1-1/2 LB NET MANUFACTURED IN THE REPUBLIC OF IRELAND). This advertising container is in excellent condition with no tears, fading, losses, damage or repairs other than a small dent and some minor abrasions to the cat image and some bruising to the bottom corners. A wonderful display piece! All items are thoroughly and conservatively graded and all condition issues are noted; all items are vintage or antique and may have slight signs of gentle use. Surface shipping to the U.S. starts at $13 (other spots may vary) - insurance is included. Items paid with a credit card will be shipped to confirmed addresses only. We do ship internationally. An antique Chinese lady motif tea chest tin with hasp. This domed trunk style tea chest is 8-7/8" wide and it stands 6" tall. It features a blue and yellow lithographed design and the swing-up brass handle has Victorian style decoration. It also has a brass hasp and eye for a lock and it has a circled DB or BD maker's mark which we haven't identified. By the construction and style we'd say it's late Victorian but it could be slightly later - it is in very good condition with some minor surface corrosion spots, a few minor scrapes and a dent on the bottom along with the expected wear. All items are thoroughly and conservatively graded and all condition issues are noted; all items are vintage or antique and may have slight signs of gentle use. Expedited tracked and insured parcel shipping to the U.S. starts at $23 (other spots may vary, air is higher). Items paid with a credit card will be shipped to confirmed addresses only.
