A very attractive German made 9 x 5-3/4" gold plated brass mounted glass bead floral purse c1920. This purse has deep purple, black, blue, turquoise, green, light green, pink, lilac, red, amber and yellow beads with beaded fringe along the bottom. It has a brass chain and clasp and a yellow cloth interior. It is stamped GERMANY on the clasp and it is darker than our pictures and the beads include deep purple as well as black. This item is in very good condition with no chips, cracks, dents, bends, corrosion, damage or repairs other than the loss of a couple of the fringe drops (hardly noticeable) and some minor loss to the gold plating. A rare and exotic authentic period Art Deco gilt brass and purple glass bead mesh head covering or skullcap hat c1920s. This unusual and fabulous fashion accessory would have been the height of fashion at a speakeasy or dance club; it consists of large gilt brass loops, gold plated chains and purple glass beads. It is unsigned and it measures 13" long when suspended from the central loop and 11-1/2" across the loops. This item is in excellent vintage condition with no chips, cracks, dents, bends, losses, damage or repairs. There is some minor wear to the gilding in spots, not too noticeable and appropriate for age. Guaranteed to be a vintage covering, not a reproduction. It was originally lined with a gauzy fabric, which was removed by the previous owner. There are two small spots of corrosion. A Victorian child's ironstone dinner set circa 1860 with 35 pieces. This rare and early 35 piece set is one of the most complete we have encountered, and it has many serving pieces; it has a black transfer design. It was made by Livesley Powell & Co. of Hanley, Staffordshire, England (1851-1866), with the BEST LP & Co. maker's mark found on three of the rim soup bowls only. This set includes: two 4" across the spout and handle gravy or sauce boats, six 4-1/2" dinner plates, six 3-5/8" salad plates, four 3" bread and butter plates, six 4-1/2" rim soup bowls, 4-3/8 x 3-1/2" oval open vegetable bowl (some minor browning), a set of three platters (5-5/8 x 4-1/2", 5-3/8 x 4-1/4", 4-7/8 x 3-7/8" (tight hairline resembling craze line showing on both sides)), 4-1/4" high and 4-1/2" across the handles covered round footed entree dish, a second footed entree dish without the lid, and, amazingly, the soup tureen complete with ladle, lid, bowl and underplate! The soup tureen itself consists of the 5-7/8 x 5-1/4" fitted underplate (underglaze "PRINTED" stamp on bottom), 4" across lid with ladle opening, 4-1/2" ladle with transfer design, 5-5/8" across the handles footed base (minor browning). The tureen stands 6-1/4" high, and this amazing set is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, losses, damage or repairs unless stated; please note that all pieces have fine overall crazing and a few have the expected very minor firing flaws found in items of this vintage. A true rarity. This is a hand-carved marbled Bakelite plastic perfume bottle pin or brooch c1930s. This pin consists of a block of amber Bakelite with swirls of black, red, green and other colours resembling burled wood. It has a safety clasp and it has a hand-carved Bakelite perfume bottle suspended from brass chains. It has a black bakelite stopper on a brass chain as well and the bottle is mostly green with yellow and black highlights. An Aynsley 28 yellow and pink roses tea cup and saucer from the 1970s. The teacup is 2-5/8" high and the matching saucer is 5-3/4" across. It has a petal and leaf relief shape with a scalloped edge and gold trim and it would make a lovely display as well as a very nice teacup for your tea or coffee. The roses have green leaves and yellow petals tipped with pink and the stems are red. It has a rose inside the cup and gold trim and gold patterned borders. A 9K yellow gold man's pocket knife fully hallmarked London, England 1950. This classy gift or men's accessory measures 3-1/4 x 7/16", it has thick engine-turned gold panels enclosing the two blades and it is fully hallmarked and dated 1950 with an SJR maker's mark (for S.J. Rose). Each gold cover is hallmarked and the hinges or rivets are covered by the engine turned design. The blades are marked STAINLESS SHEFFIELD and this knife has never been engraved or initialled. It weighs a total of 18.3 grams and it is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, dents, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs other than a tiny bend to the large blade's tip and a couple of bends to the edge of the small knife, which is very stiff (it may loosen up with use). A sterling silver C.H.S. tennis sports award fob pendant from 1914. This Canadian 1" across award has ornate high relief decoration - a wreath of maple leaves on the inscription side and a tennis player in action on the other with a leaf garland. The inscription states: "CHS 1914 TENNIS SINGLES ANTONY MURPHY" and this beauty weighs 10.1 grams. An antique Chinese lady motif tea chest tin with hasp. This domed trunk style tea chest is 8-7/8" wide and it stands 6" tall. It features a blue and yellow lithographed design and the swing-up brass handle has Victorian style decoration. It also has a brass hasp and eye for a lock and it has a circled DB or BD maker's mark which we haven't identified. By the construction and style we'd say it's late Victorian but it could be slightly later - it is in very good condition with some minor surface corrosion spots, a few minor scrapes and a dent on the bottom along with the expected wear. A Niagara Falls Scottie dog souvenir figurine from the 1910 1920 era. This 5-1/2" long and 3-7/8" tall cast pot metal (probably) figurine has an attached planchet depicting Niagara Falls N.Y. on it's back and the modelling and detail is quite fine. It has been painted gold (possibly not original) and it is unsigned.
