A Norway sterling silver and blue enamel brooch circa 1960s by Einar Modahl of Oslo. This attractive vintage modern 2-1/8" x 1-5/8" pin is a lovely royal hue. This Norwegian abstract double leaf is marked 925 S with the Einar Modahl maker's mark and an N in a square and STERLING NORWAY. The light colour or mauvish spots are artifacts of the photography and light reflections, the enamel is smooth and even with no damage. It has a modified catch which is now a c-clasp (no locking wheel), and it weighs 11.2 grams. A jeweler could add a locking wheel back to clasp. A set of 3 sterling silver ducks scatter pins from the 1930s-40s. This charming vintage set of three handmade gilt sterling silver duck scatter or sweater pins have safety catches and they measure from 1-1/2" across to 1-1/4" x 1-1/8" across. They are stamped HANDMADE STERLING on the backs, no other marks, and the gilding that remains has a rose gold colour, which was very popular in the 1930s -early 1940s. The bodies and wings are layered and slightly repousse, giving the pins a nice lift and depth, and they are rather charming and slightly comical.
