A Birks 14k man's 3 diamonds row ring in yellow and white gold circa 1950s. The size is approximately size 14, or may be a little larger, as our ring mandrel (ring sizer bar) doesn't go any higher. This vintage gentleman's diamond band is stamped BIRKS (indistinct), it tests as 14k gold and it has an independent gemologist appraisal for $1000 CAD from 2008. The additional marks may have been lost a sizing, as sometimes happens. The diamonds include: one brilliant cut diamond .22 pt diamond of I-1 clarity and F-G colour, two single cut diamonds of SI-2 tand I-1 clarity, I-J colour 0.05 pt total. The ring weighs 4.8 grams. The bezel-set opals are high quality and have magnificent colour play with fiery reds, blues and greens, and they total approximately 1.50 carats, and the diamond is 5 points (VS2, F-G color). This round yellow gold pin shows the transition from stylized Victorian to the more flowing Art Nouveau influence.
