This ring is stamped 10K with a crowned M maker's mark. It weighs 2.2 grams and it is in very good condition with no cracks, dents, bends, corrosion, damage or repairs however there is a shallow corner chip and a patina of wear to the bezel-set opal's face which somewhat clouds the underlying flash of the stone. The stone can easily be repolished, bringing out the colours, and the chip can be smoothed out. This vintage size 5-1/2 set consists of the engagement ring with a central 7 point (by gauge) solitaire diamond and the matching band. Each has 14k white gold tops or upper sections with heart designs. As expected the engagement ring is slightly larger than the band (size 6 and just under 5-3/4).
