A very attractive German made 9 x 5-3/4" gold plated brass mounted glass bead floral purse c1920. This purse has deep purple, black, blue, turquoise, green, light green, pink, lilac, red, amber and yellow beads with beaded fringe along the bottom. It has a brass chain and clasp and a yellow cloth interior. It is stamped GERMANY on the clasp and it is darker than our pictures and the beads include deep purple as well as black. This item is in very good condition with no chips, cracks, dents, bends, corrosion, damage or repairs other than the loss of a couple of the fringe drops (hardly noticeable) and some minor loss to the gold plating. A cranberry thumbprint pattern glass pickle cruet on a silver plated stand from the 1890 era. The ornate stand is 11-3/4" tall and it has a nice decorative design as does the original silver plated lid; it is stamped with the Standard Silver Co. mark, which was in business in Toronto before 1893 (they later merged with International in 1913). The cranberry glass liner/jar has a thumbprint pattern and it fits snugly in the rim on the base. Also included is a fine, contemporary pair of pickle tongs. A Curt Schlevogt Czechoslovakia malachite glass perfume bottle with a cabochon from the 1930s. Typical of his pioneering work with this type of glass, this 2-7/8" tall and 2-1/2" across bottle has an Oriental motif and the variegated green and gloss and satin finish found on vintage 1930s pieces. It retains its original gilt brass openwork stopper which has a claw-set cabochon green Peking glass cabochon stone. Although the original moulds continue to be used the earlier examples have the variations in the colour and finish of the glass (a couple of dark green lines can be seen but these are colour glass threads, not cracks). A German porcelain chicken figural schnapps or liquor decanter with glasses or cups and tray from the 1920s. This set is in orange, green and yellow luster and the cork-lined stopper shaped like feathers lifts off to reveal a filling hole. It is fully hand painted, the chicken is 8-1/2" long, the two-handled tray is 9-5/8" long and the schnapps shot glasses stand 1-5/8" high and fit on indented circles on the tray. The chicken has an impressed 7791 and a few other stamped numbers, some glasses have impressed numbers and a few are incised GERMANY. A Heisey Octagon 1229 black glass footed fruit bowl with coralene butterflies from the 1920s. This elegant glass footed bowl features lush gold trim and hand painted gold decoration along with fine blue, pink and white coralene butterflies and lily of the valley hand painted decoration. This fruit bowl or table centerpiece bowl measures 11 x 9" (including the handles) and it is an unmarked Heisey Octagon 1229 blank. We haven't seen another example of this decoration or of this black colour and it is possible that it was a special order or line made exclusively for a major retailer at the time (we have found no other examples of the blank in black glass). This rarity is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, damage or repairs other than a bit of minor wear on the heavily gold painted handles and a small drip inside the bowl from a liquid that left a 1/4" spot of fogging on the surface of the glass. A superb and top quality example of Austro-Hungarian glassmaking at its finest. This is a set of six shell shaped cranberry glass nut dishes c1900 with crisp molding and lush encrusted gold decoration. Attributed to Moser, this set is certainly of the expected quality but we can't definitively confirm this. The set consists of the deep 9-1/2" long and 7-1/8" wide master nut bowl as well as five matching 4-1/2" long and 3-3/8" wide individual nut bowls. The allover hand applied gold decoration is superb and it appears on the outer surfaces as well as on the interior. We have seen only a couple of examples of the smaller dishes only, never the full size master nut dish, and seldom in cranberry and rarely with such ornate decoration. A true prize for any serious collection of Moser or European art glass. This unsigned set appears unused, even after 110 years, and it is in stellar original condition with no cracks, losses, damage or repairs other than a 1/16" across flake to the edge of one of the individual dish's edges and the expected minor irregularities expected on hand-painted and hand-finished art glass. A pair of unsigned Bohemian Arts & Crafts satin glass jewelled vases circa 1900. This wonderful pair stands 9-3/4" tall and they have applied moonstone-like glass jewels along the neck and base.
