A Victorian Edwardian round gold filled photo locket from 1900 1910. This attractive 7/8" diameter pendant has a strapwork and wirework mount with a loop for hanging. An Algonquin lidded sewing or yarn basket circa 1930s. This lovely Native American 10" tall and 6-1/2" across utility sewing basket has large hoop handles and the lid has a coiled wood yarn guide opening on the lid. It retains traces of the original natural dyes on the exterior while the interior of the body and lid show the bright red, orange and green of the original colours. This nice decor item is in very good condition with no major damage or repairs other than the mild dye fading and a small area of splits with a small loss to the narrow banding beside one of the handle mounts. An antique Kearsley hand coloured snake copper plate engraving print from 1801. This is a really fine example and it is entitled "VIPER-HEADAED SNAKE", from the original by James Heath. Published in 1801 for inclusion in "Kearsley's Systematic Natural History" series published in various volumes and with various topics beginning in 1800, this plate is from Volume 3 "Amphibia", published in 1802. Notations on the print include: VIPER-HEADED SNAKE, 1801 JANy 1 LONDON PUBLISHED BY G. KEARSLEY FLEET STREET., HEATH SCULP., 121. It has been mounted in a 14" x 11-1/2" mat which has been wrapped in plastic with a printshop's label. The size of the viewable print is 8" x 5". A signed Dafri copper ultramodern pin brooch and earrings set from the 1950s. This Toronto Canada company made some great looking items and this is one of them - a very Jetsons kind of anamorphic style. This set includes the 2" across pin with a safety clasp and an applied copper planchet identical to the 1-5/8 x 1" clip-on earrings. Each has some mild black patination and the pin has the DAFRY signature planchet. A pair of Roden (Birks) sterling 1930s napkin rings. Roden (of Toronto) was bought out by Birks in 1928. These 5/8" wide sterling napkin ring measures 1-3/4" across and they have the Roden maker's mark and STERLING. Birks bought all Roden's inventory and parts and molds, and the Roden mark can be seen on some Birks silver items until several years after. They weighs 13.0 grams and they are in excellent vintage condition with no breaks, bends, corrosion, losses, or repairs. One has a very shallow Janie monogram and the other is blank. An Edwardian 14k yellow gold seed pearl heart and flower lavaliere necklace circa 1910. This beauty measures 21-3/4" long and it has a central drop in the shape of a heart with a central flower. A sterling silver cut glass & celluloid smelling salts bottle dated 1922. This fine quality 2-3/8" high bottle features a celluloid insert in the sterling silver top and a panelled cut glass base. The bottle retains the original brown cotton batten and the hand cut fitted glass stopper. The silver is stamped with a full set of hallmarks for Birmingham, England 1916 and it has the maker's mark for Percy James Finch of Birmingham (est. 1916). An exceptional Victorian Tunbridge Ware trinket or dresser box circa 1850s. Tunbridgeware was made as souvenir ware in England and Scotland. It consists of tiny inlaid exotic wood tesserae in geometric designs. This 4-3/8 x 4-1/4" and 1-3/4" high example has a repeating floral pattern on the top, a Greek key design on the sides and a bird's eye maple ground. The lid appears to be rosewood and the box is quite heavy. It retains the original colours which include green, yellow, red and gold and the workmanship is superb. It is in remarkable intact condition with no fading, chips, cracks, losses, damage or repairs other than a bit of warping to the lid. A Canton enamel squash blossom jewel or trinket box from the 1880s 1890s. This lovely and large Chinese enamel on metal box measures 4-1/2 x 3-1/2" and it stands 2-3/4" high on its foot rim. It is nicely worked with a fine life-like appearance and the hand applied enamel is in yellow, green and blue. The interior is light blue as is the underside. A Royal Doulton Pixies D3690 series ware baby or child's bowl circa 1920s. This seldom seen 7-1/2" across ceramic seriesware design shows three green and yellow garbed pixies holding Chinese lanterns. It has the black Royal Doulton England mark with the D 3690 hand painted number. It is in fair condition with no cracks, losses, damage or repairs other than a 5/8" chip to the upper rim and some allover crazing. it was introduced in 1913 and was discontinued by 1929 or 1930. An elegant Edwardian period baisse-taille white enamel and sterling silver brooch with fine engine turning and gold inlay, circa 1910. This antique 2" across pin was made by Blackinton of North Attleboro, Massachusetts (1862-1967), It was constructed from French baisse-taille enamel on sterling mounted with a pin assembly with a safety catch. The bright gold flowers and wreath inlaid on the brooch set it off beautifully against the engine-turned design under the enamel. It has a pattern number 9707, and it has some solder where the company attached the pin to the enamel gilt-silver disc. The entire back is satin finish and gilt - the solder is original to the manufacture of the brooch, and is not a repair (enamel has to be heated with extreme care after manufacture). It is in excellent original condition with no chips, cracks, scrapes, dents, monograms, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs. An antique Japanese Meiji period solid silver picture frame circa 1880-1900. This antique 5-1/2" x 3-1/2" frame has a bamboo pattern with a patterned ground; it has a textured snakeskin design paper over wood backing that originally had a support foot for standing up the frame. That is now missing and replaced with a wire so it can be hung on the wall. The frame front has copper round-head nails. It retains the original patterned backing paper and glass window. It is unmarked, as was often the case with older Japanese pieces, but tests as very high grade silver, sterling or likely higher, as .950 grade was often used in Japan. This item is in excellent original condition with no chips, cracks, dents, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs other than the loss of the foot rest and slight bending at the lower right hand corner (very minor). A Herend Printemps hand painted oblong trinket or cigarette box with floral decoration and gold trim. This 6-3/4 x 3-1/2" box stands 1-1/2" tall and it is probably one of the many Printemps pieces which all have similar and slightly variant floral designs. It has the later Herend mark with a 7987 form number and a BT pattern code with a 1 or I below. It also has an impressed 7981 26 on the bottom. An Art Deco period Czechoslovakian molded green Peking glass necklace circa 1920s. This is a brass and molded floral design 17 inch long necklace with a central 1-1/4" x 1" drop with a jade green coloured molded glass floral design. The brass links are ornate and they have green glass balls on this collectible example of Czech jewellery. It has a spring-ring clasp, it is stamped CZECHOSLOV on the jump ring. Our picture has flattened the appearance of lovely floral centre drop a bit, it is actually in fairly high relief.
