An authentic 1920s slag glass scenic chandelier ceiling lamp. This hexagonal 16" across and 12" deep beauty features caramel swirl slag glass panels, an upper gallery of blue, purple and caramel slag panels and a lower skirt of blue, purple and deep yellow panels resembling cloudy sky under cutout scenic gold patinated and lacquered brass framework structure of a house with trees. It is unsigned, it has the original gilded brass canopy and it has been resocketed and rewired. We've shown it lit with a 25 watt candle bulb but a higher wattage will look quite impressive. A Victorian Edwardian round gold filled photo locket from 1900 1910. This attractive 7/8" diameter pendant has a strapwork and wirework mount with a loop for hanging. It has a bottom hinge, a hand engraved shield with decoration on the front, a plain rear and no monograms on either side. It has a photo retaining bezel and it has the maker's mark for Quarnstrom & Remington of Attleboro, Massachusetts (listed as of 1904 but probably active earlier). An Algonquin lidded sewing or yarn basket circa 1930s. This lovely Native American 10" tall and 6-1/2" across utility sewing basket has large hoop handles and the lid has a coiled wood yarn guide opening on the lid. It retains traces of the original natural dyes on the exterior while the interior of the body and lid show the bright red, orange and green of the original colours. This nice decor item is in very good condition with no major damage or repairs other than the mild dye fading and a small area of splits with a small loss to the narrow banding beside one of the handle mounts. An antique Kearsley hand coloured snake copper plate engraving print from 1801. This is a really fine example and it is entitled "VIPER-HEADAED SNAKE", from the original by James Heath. Published in 1801 for inclusion in "Kearsley's Systematic Natural History" series published in various volumes and with various topics beginning in 1800, this plate is from Volume 3 "Amphibia", published in 1802. Notations on the print include: VIPER-HEADED SNAKE, 1801 JANy 1 LONDON PUBLISHED BY G. KEARSLEY FLEET STREET., HEATH SCULP., 121. It has been mounted in a 14" x 11-1/2" mat which has been wrapped in plastic with a printshop's label. The size of the viewable print is 8" x 5". A signed Dafri copper ultramodern pin brooch and earrings set from the 1950s. This Toronto Canada company made some great looking items and this is one of them - a very Jetsons kind of anamorphic style. This set includes the 2" across pin with a safety clasp and an applied copper planchet identical to the 1-5/8 x 1" clip-on earrings. Each has some mild black patination and the pin has the DAFRY signature planchet. A pair of Roden (Birks) sterling 1930s napkin rings. Roden (of Toronto) was bought out by Birks in 1928. These 5/8" wide sterling napkin ring measures 1-3/4" across and they have the Roden maker's mark and STERLING. Birks bought all Roden's inventory and parts and molds, and the Roden mark can be seen on some Birks silver items until several years after. The bottle retains the original brown cotton batten and the hand cut fitted glass stopper. The silver is stamped with a full set of hallmarks for Birmingham, England 1916 and it has the maker's mark for Percy James Finch of Birmingham (est. 1916). An exceptional Victorian Tunbridge Ware trinket or dresser box circa 1850s. Tunbridgeware was made as souvenir ware in England and Scotland. It consists of tiny inlaid exotic wood tesserae in geometric designs. This 4-3/8 x 4-1/4" and 1-3/4" high example has a repeating floral pattern on the top, a Greek key design on the sides and a bird's eye maple ground. The lid appears to be rosewood and the box is quite heavy. It retains the original colours which include green, yellow, red and gold and the workmanship is superb. It is in remarkable intact condition with no fading, chips, cracks, losses, damage or repairs other than a bit of warping to the lid. The hinges are intact and our pictures don't even come close to showing the fine detail of this folk art box. A Canton enamel squash blossom jewel or trinket box from the 1880s 1890s. This lovely and large Chinese enamel on metal box measures 4-1/2 x 3-1/2" and it stands 2-3/4" high on its foot rim. It is nicely worked with a fine life-like appearance and the hand applied enamel is in yellow, green and blue. The interior is light blue as is the underside. It is (obscurely) marked CHINA on the bottom and it is in excellent condition with no chips, dents, bends, corrosion, damage or repairs however it does have some small black firing marks and pits along with a couple of small surface losses to the enamel. This ring weighs 2.9 grams and the stone calculates as a 60 point stone. There are 16 diamonds in total and this ring is marked 10K with an unidentified maker's mark.
