| A nice quality, colourful and vintage c1880-1910 Chinese enamel figural box in the form of a chrysanthemum blossom. This 4-1/2" x 3-3/8" covered box stands 2-5/8" tall. It has very high relief detail and the enamel is in yellow/gold, robin's egg blue, yellow/green and green. The enamelled interior is completely robin's egg blue, and the word CHINA is just barely visible under the enamel on the base within the foot. This item is in excellent vintage condition with no cracks, dents, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs other than one area of enamel loss to the lid's rim (see picture), some other areas of minor wear and loss and some black spots from the manufacture of the piece. There are also some minor stress cracks on the interior blue enamel only. All flaws are quite minor and this box looks to be in excellent original condition. All items are thoroughly and conservatively graded and all condition issues are noted; all items are vintage or antique and may have slight signs of gentle use.
