| A fine quality vintage sterling round hand engraved compact made by Birks, Canada's premier retailer of finery c1930s. This 2-1/2" diameter compact has fine engraving on the top side with no monogram, and it retains its original puff and powder screen (and a bit of powder, which we will clean out if you wish). The mirror is clear and unspotted, and this item is in excellent original condition with no scrapes, monograms, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs other than a couple of tiny shallow dents on the undecorated back, a shallow dent on the top, and some minor soiling to the puff. All items are thoroughly and conservatively graded and all condition issues are noted; all items are secondhand and may have slight signs of gentle use. Surface shipping starts at $5.50 (to the US - other spots may vary) - insured is higher, and mandatory on items over $85 if paid with a credit card; credit card items will be shipped to confirmed addresses only.
