| One of the finest cigarette boxes we've encountered. This is a true vintage Art Deco 12 x 5-1/4" exotic wood veneered large cigarette box with 800 silver Italian mounts. Probably amboyna veneer, this box opens to reveal a four-shelf platform holding 13 cigarettes on each metal-hinged tier. The unsigned box is beautifully constructed and finished, and the fancy silver handle and mounts are a classy touch. The silver scrollwork is marked 800 and the handle also has the Italian silver mark. This item is in near mint original condition with intact finish and veneer, with no chips, cracks, damage or repairs other than 2 missing retaining pins (out of 4) on one silver corner decoration (easily replaced if desired). All items are thoroughly and conservatively graded and all condition issues are noted; all items are secondhand and may have slight signs of gentle use. Surface shipping to the continental U.S. starts at $16 (other spots may vary) - insured is higher, and mandatory on items over $85 if paid with a credit card.
