| A Qianlong period Chinese porcelain covered ginger jar c1750 in the Famille Rose palette, later converted into a table lamp. This jar measures 7-5/8" high (from bottom to top of cover). It has a 1-1/2" tall slightly oversize carved wood base, and the lamp measures 19-1/2" in total, and it has a 1920s painted wood finial and harp with c1950s wiring and fittings. The lid has been drilled as has the base (causing a small tight crack around the hole). This unsigned jar has fine, subtle enamel colours and fine detail, and it is in excellent condition with no chips, crazing, dents, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs other than the fitting for use as a lamp. All items are thoroughly and conservatively graded and all condition issues are noted; all items are secondhand and may have slight signs of gentle use. Surface shipping to the continental U.S. starts at $19 (other spots may vary) - insured is higher, and mandatory on items over $85 if paid with a credit card. Items paid with a credit card will be shipped to confirmed addresses only. We do ship internationally. All of our prices are in $US. NOTE: we do not accept PayPal. | |||||||||||
