| An attractive 19th century 8-3/4" x 4" Japanese orange lacquer box with gold and silver decoration. This unsigned box with a black interior features Oriental landscape scenes in painted fans joined by a river of gold and silver; it is in fair original condition with no damage or repairs other than corner wear spots and edge losses and some cracking to small areas on the top. All items are thoroughly and conservatively graded and all condition issues are noted; all items are secondhand and may have slight signs of gentle use. Surface shipping to the continental U.S. starts at $8 (other spots may vary) - insured is higher, and mandatory on items over $85 if paid with a credit card.
