| A high quality, very decorative 19th century swing-handled basket c1890. This exquisite card salver basket (which wouldn't have had any liner) measures 8-1/2" diameter and it stands 7" high from its three classical feet to the top of the openwork (also roses) swing handle. The design is high relief roses with openwork, and this beauty is in very good original condition with no dents, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs other than some wear to the silver plating showing brass on the high points of the design (you can replate it if you wish, but it does not detract). It does not have a maker's mark that we could find. A very fine example of late 19th century naturalism /naturalistic design. All items are thoroughly and conservatively graded and all condition issues are noted; all items are vintage or antique and may have slight signs of gentle use.
