| An attractive, high quality hand painted Japanese 15-1/8" x 8" lacquer tray c1920s. This tray features black lacquer over wood with lush gold accents on the edge and both handles; the central scene is of two fighting roosters in orange, brown, silver, gold and red. It is marked MADE IN JAPAN, and it is in excellent original condition with no chips, cracks, losses, damage or repairs other than a small loss to the lacquer near the bottom rim and some very slight spots of soiling and rubs. There is a touch of warping to the tray, which sits very slightly elevated at one end. All items are thoroughly and conservatively graded and all condition issues are noted; all items are secondhand and may have slight signs of gentle use. Surface shipping to the U.S. starts at $13 (other spots may vary) - insurance is included to $95. Items paid with a credit card will be shipped to confirmed addresses only.
