| A pretty antique English sterling silver 19th century pierced ladle with fine hand-engraving and repousse work from Exeter. The ladle is approximately 4-1/2" long, and has a 2" x 1-5/8" fluted bowl features repousse engraved flowers and leaves, with pierced exes, teardrops and small round strainer holes. The handle has foliate hand engraving with no monogram, and this lovely ladle features full hallmarks for Exeter, England 1855 (maker's mark ES, probably for Edward Sweet). Exeter only had hallmarking from 1701-1882, so you seldom see pieces from there. It weighs 24.1 grams, and it is in excellent original condition with no dents, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs. All items are thoroughly and conservatively graded and all condition issues are noted; all items are secondhand and may have slight signs of gentle use. Surface shipping to the U.S. starts at $6.30 (other spots may vary) - insured is higher. Items paid with a credit card will be shipped to confirmed addresses only. We do ship internationally. All of our prices are in $US. PLEASE NOTE: We DO NOT accept Paypal. | |||||||||
