| An attractive 11-1/2 x 8" gilt cast iron stand up picture frame c1890-1900. In the form of a band of leaves, this unsigned frame has an oval 5-1/2 x 4-1/8" opening for a photo; the current photo has non-glare glass and it is dedicated in pencil on the back ("GRANDFATHER & GRANDMOTHER CLOSE d1894"). This item is in excellent original condition with no dents, bends, losses, damage or repairs; the original gilding is intact except for a few areas of rubbing on the high points of the frame, and there is a touch of surface corrosion on the swingout support leg. All items are thoroughly and conservatively graded and all condition issues are noted; all items are secondhand and may have slight signs of gentle use. Surface shipping to the continental U.S. is $13 (other spots may vary) - insured is higher, and mandatory on items over $85 if paid with a credit card.
