| An early, heavy solid copper hand-wrought copper cooking pot from the late 18th-early 19th century. This unsigned 9" diameter and 5" high pot has a thick hand-riveted 9-7/8" handle. The hand hammering and 3lb. 7 ounces weight, combined with the original tin lining, gives this pot a great look. It has a bevelled base and a great interior patina as well as some verdigris (greening), however the exterior has been cleaned in the past. This item is in excellent condition with no cracks, scrapes, dents, monograms, bends, losses, damage or repairs other than a small split where the left side of the handle joins the pot. Most of the original tin lining is intact, however it should be retinned before use. All items are thoroughly and conservatively graded and all condition issues are noted; all items are secondhand and may have slight signs of gentle use. Surface shipping to the continental U.S. is $16 (other spots may vary) - insured is higher, and mandatory on items over $85 if paid with a credit card; items paid with a credit card will be shipped to confirmed addresses only.
