Unusual Mid 19thC JAPANESE IMARI 12 SIDED MUG
An unusual early to mid 19th century Japanese Imari twelve-sided handled mug c1850. This 3-1/8" tall and 3-3/4" across the top Japanese porcelain mug features the Imari colours of red, orange, gold and blue, and it was undoubtedly made for the European market. It has the expected minor pebbling, bubbling and frit in the glaze, and it is in very good original condition with no cracks, crazing, losses, damage or repairs other than some minor wear to the gilding and a small chip to the underside interior rim, which has some underglaze stress cracks. An uncommon item. Tracked surface shipping starts at $15 (to the US - other spots may vary) - insured is higher, and mandatory on items over $95 if paid with a credit card. We do ship internationally. All of our prices are in $US. PLEASE NOTE: We DO NOT accept Paypal.
